Rainy Tuesday

Here is a smile card- hopefully to give you a smile. It sure is wet and chilly here today. Unless the rain stops her- I get to hang with my sister Kelly today! She's coming down for a bit and we'll talk scrapping, maybe go shopping at the Lss or craft store and swap scrap stuff with each other.
Doesn't that sound like a fun day!
for this smile card, I used Reminisce B&W dot paper, edging the small mat with pink paper and my scallop scissors. I used Bobunny Kitchen Spice scraps in my Cricut and cut out the large scallops- then punched a hole in each one. The pink paper is also Bobunny- Alyssa collection I think. The bird is chipboard I got at Big Lots cheap - from American Crafts. I added the heart for his tail, then topped it with another small glitter heart (K&Co stickers- the fruit ones) and finished with a button and floss. The letters are Reminisce as well- a holiday line and are glittered.

Lookit that - I used Halloween and Christmas items- and it looks like an everyday card! I really stretched those supplies.
Have a wonderful day!

Oct is almost over!

Wow! has this month gone by quickly! I can't believe Halloween is this weekend! My oldest was invited to a party last weekend- definately makes me want to do one next year- since she's outgrowing Trick or Treating herself.
I haven't made a whole bunch of Halloween cards, but I did make one for this week's sketch at CardPatterns. Our sponsor Sherrod Studios sent us prestamped images to work with. I chose the spooky house and trick or treat saying, and colored the images in with markers- I do not have Copics- but have had a love of Sharpies for many years and they didn't let me down!
I used my new Bobunny Boo Crew line to add to the card, using a journal spot for the background under the stamp circle- and added in layers matted with deco edges. I also added in a little Bobunny green dot ribbon and a small black cat chip from Reminisce topping the bow.

Have a terrific day!

Boo Treats!

just a quick post today- wanted to share my bobunny blog project with you- I made this cute box that could be filled with different halloween treats. I used a regular gift box I got at the craft store, adding in Boo Crew from Bobunny decorations. I covered the box, then added with popdots, a bit of scallop border sticker, a haunted house, warning sign and gravestone. I also added a dangling spider- love that big single eye- which I added a wiggle eye to him.
I also added the cute Boo Crew letters to the box- see the sweet little spidies on them? I handcut a moon, adding a Reminisce chip bat I added glitter glue to.

Then I filled my box with popcorn and candy corn- yum!

thanks for looking today!

Happy Monday!

Hello- welcome!! today I wanted to share this cute flower card I've made. I used my cricut plantin cartridge to cut out two of the flower shapes, as well as the circle for the center of my card. I cut the petals off the flower, then added them to the back of the circle, to make my own style of flower. I used Bobunny Alyssa line for the papers! I also added in a little more Bobunny ( lime green paper), a touch of Dream Street ( pink paper) and a tiny bit of MM( blue print) papers- all from my scraps pile! The green leaves I cut from some DCWV paper- again- leaf cut from Plantin cart. I popdotted my flower and pierced the edges of the petals for some detailing. I also outlined the mat and the circle with a pen. Then I added some old stash Basic Grey letters, and a button with hemp tie.

Be sure today to stop over at the Bobunny Blog- we are having a super fun day showing off the GORGEOUS new releases, and a fun scavenger hunt game- to win prizes! Make sure you also hop to the team blogs, as many of the girls have talked about giving away Blog Candy!! OHHH!! doesn't that sound fab?

thanks for coming over!

Bright colors

I am stepping out of my comfort zone this week, working on cards, I tend to fall into a deep rut and stick with the same formula. So I am trying some new techniques while trying to still use my stash. I took and looped some Bobunny dot ribbon making a sort of flower. This turned out super cute, and made a great background for my Bliss title. I cut a scallop circle from some Reminisce orange dot paper- the oranges are both Reminisce Halloween line! and I added some nice bright lime green K&Co paper to my card as well.

I found some super stash labels from KI memories or SEI - and added this one in. I added an orange Bobunny brad to the one side. The word bliss is glitter sticker letters from MM and I added my own doodled border for more of a fun touch.

hope you like my card today!

Hello

I love the generic sentiment cards, they can be sent for any reason and hello is just a great little introduction for a card. So I tend to make a lot of cards that say that. I wanted to make a fun and vibrant card, of course with using my scraps, so this is what I came up with.
First- the b&w dot paper is Reminisce Halloween! it's perfect for anything tho- love B&W polka dots! next, I cut the flowers, circle and leaves out with my cricut- the Plantin Cart. I cut the flowers apart, petal by petal and glued them to the back of the circle, making my own flower. I lined the petals with black pen, and added stitching details with a large needle. I did the same with the leaves.
edit- I can't believe I left off what line that so so pretty paper I used for the flower. The blue/teal and stripe are Bobunny Alissa!! one of my favorite lines!

I also lined the card around the mat paper, and added some bright pretty buttons to the flower. I finished the card with Reminisce glitter letter stickers.

ttfn!

Chilly Weather upon us

BRRRR!!! Yesterday was positively chilly! Mowing the lawn was on my chore list- perhaps I should have held off one more day- as it was cold on the tractor! A couple weekends ago I made some beef au jus steak sandwiches- with onions- which then of course- totally put me in the mood for french onion soup!! I made some and boy oh boy oh boy was it good!! Now I'm not all fancy- really just a simple girl, so I topped my soup with a nice piece of italian bread that I had pre-toasted and I had provolone so that is what I used- instead of the gruyere that I believe is typically called for. Well, it was delicious! Perfect for a cool fall day!Next I am sharing this sweet Mother card I made. Just got out my Craft Secrets diecuts/images and pulled out one I liked, then made this card. I also used old stash the scalloped oval- that piece is from Daisy D's. I added a mulberry flower to a wide ribbon bow, topped with a brown button. I also dug out my photo corners and added them to the red paper ( bobunny St. Nick scraps) I found another scrap in the chipboard box, this white heart that I then glittered, adding my title with some old Heidi Swapp chip letters. The background paper is Dream Street .

Here is a close up of the bird image, bow and title for you to see.
Thanks for stopping in!

I'm a bad blogger!

Well, I have just been a busy bee at home, getting my home organized and cleaned. We've lived here almost 2 years now and are finally figuring out our storage spaces. This house has soooo much more storage then we've had before- and I have to work hard at making sure we have everything sorted together.

So I haven't been blogging much- but I do have several crafts to share this week- I'm gonna do some advanced posts today so I can share all week!
First tho- I need to share my CardPatterns cards- I have both last weeks and this weekend's cards to share with you. This pumpkin card was sponsored by The Cutting Cafe and I made the card with her pattern. Then used a few of Regina's digital images to accent the card as well. I punched out the circle date, edged it with scallops and hung it from the pumpkin stem. I also cut out the star, popped it up and added a button. The black paper is from Bobunny, the green is from Dream Street.

Next is my card made for last week's post. Our sponsor Chris Franco sent us these The Angel Company stamps and I cut the head off the snowman and added him to the circles from the sketch. I used some Reminisce paper, a few Stickopotamus stickers, and a couple Basic Grey letters. I also punched the borders with my martha punch, edging them with some teal ink. The ribbon is old stash- can't remember who makes it.

thanks for coming back to visit!

World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day! I'm not showcasing anything today with a sponsor, but just had some extra crafts I made this week that I wanted to share.
First- this cute snowman card is made with Bobunny papers, and some Reminisce stickers, I layered the mat with a yellow scallop and popped it up with some thick chipboard- great way to use those extra sheets of chipboard from pads of paper!

Next- it's not a card - but along the lines of telling you about our new craft cave, LOL!- love the name, I had extra fabric left over from recovering the chair pads . I pulled out an extra frame, so I sprayed it with adhesive, then covered the frame. I then painted some bobunny chipboard strips lime green and added glitter to them, after I cut them to size. I finished with some green gems from K&CO. This was made to go in the craft room, just as decor, but I also ended up having enough fabric to recover a throw pillow and I sewed that for my youngest, Annalise. These are both now in her room! She was thrilled to come home from school and see her new decor items! She's been sleeping on the pillow all week!

Next, is this halloween card with Bobunny Boo Crew line. I used a frame that I cut out of a journal spot, just trimming off the extra at the side of the card. ( I also popped this up with some old chipboard) I added a little scallop sticker and fussy cut the two treaters out of the paper pop dotting them as well. The letter stickers are Bobunny and Making Memories. I cut out two bats as well, then I added googlie eyes to each of the people and bats.

This card took on a life of it's own! I just kept adding more and more and more to it- I couldn't seem to stop. I guess when you aren't happy with how something is turning out- you can either give upand throw it away- or keep at it until you make something decent. This uses all bobunny stuff- cept that brown edged journal spot, and the flowers- the journal spot is Anna Griffin- and the flowers are from a silk spray of hydrangea's that I took apart. I also used a small clear sticker from American Crafts. The paper is from Beautiful life, and the cardstocks are Double Dot. The leaf and rubons are old Bobunny- I love love the paper leaves they used to sell-
Next is this card featured yesterday on the Bobunny Blog. I used the St. Nick collection, cutting out my own holly leaves, and fussy cutting that adorable santa car. I doubled the ribbon on the card to make it more substantial, and added some jingle bells to a button. Isn't that a cute card!

Here is a close up- so you can see how I've popdotted the car up and added glitter to the edges of the holly.
Thanks for dropping in- hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Gearing Up for WCMD

Do you have big plans for blog hopping this weekend? I sure hope I can get plenty of time to see all the fab. work I just know is going to be showcased this weekend!
I haven't gotten a lot done this week- so I will only have a couple new cards to share, but I wanted to start early and show off this pretty one I whipped up today. It uses some Making Memories paper- background. Some DCWV- the blue floral- and a bit of Debbie Mumm- the tiny print paper. I used my cuttlebug to pre-emboss white cardstock- I have a good bunch of these small sheets embossed with my favorite prints in my stash so I can grab them up as I want them. This one is the Swiss Dots folder.

I also shabbied up the edges- love that look! and I used a vellum quote from Anna Griffin, layered on a bit of Anna Griffin ribbon, then add two CTMH butterflies that I have glittered, then added gems to their centers.

Hope you like- and hope to see you drop by again this weekend!

have a great evening!
