Moxie FAB-ULOUS!

I have been encouraged again to try some new challenges, step outside of my box and create using colors/ideas/ embellishments that aren't in my go-to grab bag.

on the Moxie Fab blog, this week's Tuesday Trigger was so bright and pretty I just had to grab from my scraps box and see what I could come up with.
Don't you love those brights? and the FABULOUS green dots- You know I have a total love affair with lime and dots just make me swoon.

Ok- sorry it's a little dark, it's been gloomy and dank here the last couple days. I am so ready for SUNSHINE!!

Cath asks us to tell why and how we were inspired. So as far as colors, I think you can see, I found this fab green dot paper in my scraps- it's brand new Pink Paislee from the Hometown collection. So is  the yellow, and the orange is from American Crafts- froma great fun prize package I just got from being a winner for the Moxie Fab Decorative Tape challenge. I received these sweet little stamps from My Little Shoebox in a sponsorship package, and busted them out to make this little birdhouse trio. I stamped them with black and colored in with sharpie markers.
I cut the block of green, and cut the strip of yellow and matted it with my orange. I liked how the inspiration pic has the bold yellow and orange background, so I added that kinda bold strip of yellow.
Then I diecut the Sizzix label and traced around the outside with an orange marker. I popped the label up with UCutIt foam from Glue Arts, then after I colored and cut out the houses I popped them up as well. I also stamped the greeting from TCP studios and placed the houses on the label. Lastly, I couldn't make a project without my buttons and twine, so I tied a couple bows for the houses  - added on with Glue Arts mini adhesive squares and put the buttons on either side of the yellow strip.

Hope you'll stop by the Moxie Fab blog and see the Tuesday Trigger this week!
