Holiday Monday

Hello my wonderful friends! I have been a busy girl, up early this morning, listing some new Crinkled Seam Binding up in my Etsy Shop, if you would like to jump over there and see the new goodies I have. I'll wait.....

Ok, back? did you like them? I loooove creating new ribbon colors! And it's fun to come up with creative names for them too! Sooo..on to my cards
As usual, it's a photo heavy post, then I'll disappear for a couple days while I create behind the scenes and hopefully can hop right back in and give you a couple more ideas!

I've had a terrifically busy week this week. CHA is coming up, and I've been doing a little creating for that. I've also been working on getting some publications sent out - I had 7 items requested this week. Plus my regular design work.

This lovely card was created with some My Mind's Eye papers/rubon bird/chipboard border and wish list tag. I added the Maya Road canvas piece ( took a canvas album apart) and topped the eyelets with two bows in that lovely vintage looking black and cream stripe ribbon- craft supply b/c I don't remember who it's by. I also stamped my Happy Birthday with a Hero Arts stamp, love how that looks on canvas. And I added some Am. Crafts letter stickers for the rest of the greeting. I added two glittered Petaloo flowers, and a shell button with twine bow.

Here is another view, I love the cream and aqua colors on this!

I am still working my way through cleaning my supplies up. Perhaps I should clarify, I have a large tote [or 6] with old products, new products, products from companies I have worked for, and companies who have donated to some of the teams I am on. This can be quite daunting to sort, so it is taking me some time to deal with. Most of the time, I just grab a handful of what's on top, and create with that. Sometimes I have a hard time letting things go. Example- this _______ is gorgeous, but it's not my style. I don't want to let it go, because at some point in the future I may be able to work it into my style, and I will be upset to have given it away. (OR) I have used three of the stickers from this package of stickers and I don't think I am done with them just yet.... (OR) I love this____ and I will definitely use it, but I'm not sure where to put it. Ok, I'll put it here. A Week later.... now where did I put that ____.
Does any of this sound familiar? I think we all struggle with perfect organization. I'm cool with papers and letters, but it's the embellishments that get me.

Onto the next card.

Hope- well, I just loved this My Mind's Eye paper, and covered my card blank with it. Then I tied on a bit of my crinkled seam binding  and added a single pearl to the center of the bow. I received these Tattered Angels tags from a publishing box, so I cut out all around the image and added that to my card with some Glue Arts UCutIt foam.  I added some of the houndstooth Pink Paislee chipboard letters I've been hoarding, and then topped with a little glittered heart from SEI ( again- publishing package) and my button and twine bow.

See all the glitters on this card. the background paper, the touches of glitter glue I added to the tag and the sweet little heart too.

Next, remember the Snow Sled I created for Glue Arts blog, Of course with Echo Park giving us a whole package of Wintertime to work with, I had plenty left to create some cards. I love the turquoise and red and white combo, so I created this early Valentine Card with a piece of the Wintertime, and this journal block popped up with UCutIt foam tape. I added in some Amer. Crafts rose ribbon, a little strip of Pink Paislee tape and two more of these SEI glittered heart pieces, again, popped up with UCutIt and topped the plaid heart with a button and twine.

I've loved that rose ribbon for ages!! love the little gems in the flower centers.

Winter Wonderland. Just a simple card - again - created with Echo Park's Wintertime, I cut two blocks after layering on the background paper, and punched holes in them to act like tags.  I tied a bit of baker's twine and button to hold them together. I also added some of these SEI glittered chip flowers, popping up two of them with some UCutIt foam tape, as well as the sticker border piece at the bottom.

Often when I am creating, I make something that isn't working. So instead of tossing the piece, I simply put it away for something else. I created this cardinal piece using my Cricut and Winter Woodland cart. I glittered the snow and the red berries, and popped up the bird with UCutIt. I added it to some Making Memories christmas snowflake paper, and Echo Park red dot paper. I handcut some clouds and then added foam tape to those as well. I used Girl's Paperie letters to add my greeting, and added a red dot ribbon with bow and two leaf pins to finish off the card.

That's all for today! thanks for dropping in!!

Holy Stromboli! You have been on a creating frenzy, haven't you! Love every single one of them, can't even decide which I like the best.

I totally understand about sorting supplies. I am working on reorganizing my crafting room, yet again and have such a hard time deciding on things, what to keep, what not to keep, where to put it and where did I put it? It's always a work in progress!
I am loving working with the wrinkled ribbon you sent in the package I won. Just used it on a card for the upcoming blog hop for the QKR Stampede design team blog hop later this week. Thanks again for sending it! I love everything you sent me!
