Tricks or .... treats?

Hello my darling blog readers! I have had such a busy busy time this last week.

First my oldest daughter has been unwell and we have finally found out that she is anemic. Fortunately getting her back on track won't be too much, but for a couple weeks we were seriously worried about her health.
And just as she's started feeling better, the rest of our family has gotten a bit of a sinus/nasty cold.  I have been sneezing my pants off! LOL!

I also have been busy putting away so many new amazing products. Due to the generosity of Provo Craft, as well as some AMAZING sponsors, such as American Crafts, Imaginisce , Bazzill, Making Memories, and Echo Park, I just have to say my own PERSONAL thanks to all the AWESOME goodies I have received as part of the Cricut Circle Blog team.

I wanted to share some of the items I spent today making. When I opened up this package of American Crafts BOO! line, I was enthralled. The bright colors and cute characters were just my speed! LOVE at first site!

I also have to admit. Once Halloween is gone, I just don't ever feel like making projects with Halloween items, so I try to make an excess while it's here! So what I did today was to create some sweet little candy packs that I'll send in for the teachers at school a bit early so that they can enjoy.

I used some vellum envelopes ( bought at the craft store) and decorated them. I filled them with Caramel Hard Candies and Hershey Kisses in fall colors.

All these items were created with American Crafts Boo! line.
I used a journal spot on this envelope, cutting it out so some of the striped background was still there. Then I wrapped some bakers twine in pink around the envelope, tied with a button. I added the sticker, put on the flair piece and then added the little spider sticker looking like it was hanging down. I loved the saying on the sticker!

For this envelope, I first stamped with Stazon and the web corner stamps in each corner.

I cut out another journal spot, and added that to the envelope. I also added twine to this envelope, and added a flair button to the middle of that bow, then layered on the dimensional pumpkin stickers and the EEK word sticker. Simple. sweet. and done in no time!

Lastly I made a little larger treat gift. I love that hot pink in this collection, so I wrapped some of the black paper around the jar, and layered the pink and orange scalloped papers on the top and bottom. My jar is filled with a mix of Kisses and Werther's Candy.

I simply tied on some orange twine, added a hot pink button, then added two dimensional stickers. I also tied on a bit of that pink twine to the lid.

Three very simple treats for today!

I too only do Halloween around this time...loving the pop of pink too! Unfortunately, that sinus/cold thing is in our house too and trust me, it's been nasty! Both kids on antibiotics today so...

oh, I forget to say too, that when I was anemic, I was appalled at the various prices in iron tablets! From $ 4 for generic to $50 a bottle-generic worked..too crazy though. I hope she feels better soon...it does take a bit of time though.
