Tissue Paper Flowers

Hello! One of the newest trends out there is making your own flowers, from fabrics, felt, tissue, sewing patterns and more, we all seem to be getting into designing our own flowers to match our creations.
I want to share some baby cards I made, with my own coordinating flowers made with tissue paper and stamps.

I used inexpensive dollar store tissue paper, just in a plain white.  I also got out my Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage Clear stamps and used the three small flowers from the stamp set. I put them on my clear block and inked with this beautiful light teal color to match the colors of the Starlight paper collection.

All I did was to stamp randomly all over the tissue, not worrying about being perfect. I also stamped again between inkings, it gives the tissue a soft color as well.
For my first card, I kept it super simple. All I did was to use a large scalloped circle punch and punched out several layers of tissue. I layered them together and added some punched paper off center on my flower. I added a white button  and several light green pearls.
Supplies for the card are Pink Paislee Starlight ( Spark, Shine  and Bright papers) and Starlight element stickers. I also added the pearls, button and sticker letters.

Here is a super close up of the flower.

Rolled paper flowers have gotten really popular lately. You can use the same techniques to make your own tissue flowers. After stamping the flowers, I cut the tissue into strips and twisted them. Then I rolled them into the round flowers.  I added them to my card and added pearls for the centers.

Supplies used for this card- Pink Paislee Starlight collection ( Spark, Shine,  and Bright papers ) Starlight Element Stickers. I also have a bit of waxed twine, pearls,  and glitter sticker letters.

I think what I like best about this technique is how easy it is to coordinate your own embellishments to your projects. All you need are some basic supplies and you have a totally unique creation.
