Cosmo Cricket Yumminess

One of the best things about working for some companies is that they will sometimes do exchanges with other companies. Tuesday I received a wonderful box from Glue Arts- with refills on the Glue Glider Pro- I love this thing! the adhesive is terrific and very sticky, works great! plus some other adhesives- my other favorite is their adhesive squares, which are very flat- you can use them under ribbon and they don't show. But I often roll them and use them under my thicker items- like buttons and such. Really are great products- and I'm not just saying that cause I work for Glue Arts- I genuinely use them on everything because they are my favorite adhesives.

In our boxes we also got a very generous package from Cosmo Cricket! They sent me a big package of Early Bird, another big package of Joy Ride and a mini deck of Earth Love. I was so excited- I created some cards and tags yesterday with Early Bird.

For this card, I used a border strip and cut out the saying, then I fussy cut out some of the flowers from patterned paper, rolling the petals up for dimension. I used a strip of tan corrugated paper across the middle and added a border strip at the bottom. I added some buttons and twine, these were extras I hadn't used, so they were 'scraps' of a sort.

A tag! I haven't made tags in a while, so this was fun!! I cut out the paper tag, then added strips across it. I sewed across the corrugated paper, and used my new martha cornice border punch to add the bottom borders. I used a cutout bracket journal spot, adding my sticker with foam tape. I added two handcut cookies. The 'chips' are black sharpie and I added a bit of chalk to the cookies. A fussy cut flower and some layered circles top the tag.

This card, is fun, but also a neat use for that cover sheet that comes with your package. You know the cover sheet that shows you what you get in the kit? well, that is scrapbook paper too, and very useable!! I took the strip that shows the papers and cut it down, that is the quilted looking strip on the side of my card. I added in a generic red scallop border, and then another block of my corrugated paper. I rounded the corners, added a cut out shape (Yummy) and punched out the toast and toaster, then popped them up with foam tape. I took another border strip, cut it down and added it for my greeting. I finished the card with a loop and bow of twine with button.

ahh- I love fruit cards, they are so cute! so I made a fruit tag, adding a mat to my handcut tag, then layering a strip of torn kraft cardstock to the one edge. I cut a circle out of my corrugated paper, cut it a little offcenter from half and added it to my card. I cut out the pear with my scallop scissors and added a cute lime button to the pear. I layered a square and circle at the top for the tag part. And I used Reminisce letter stickers for the wording.

Again, I wanted something fun, so I went with a circle card cut with my cloud scissors, and added this mat of blue paper to it.. I added a circle of the corrugated paper, adding the cut out 'hey there cookie' along with a couple strips of paper and border. I made a couple more cookies cause they were so fun to make, and fussy cut out a couple flowers too. I topped my card with a button and twine.

I thought this border strip saying was funny, and had to use it on my card. However, I had to cut it to make it fit. I used the rest of my strip of paper from the cover sheet, this time sewing between them for a quilt-y look.
I added two scraps of tan and kraft paper, added my saying with foam tape and also cut out the little toaster. I fussy cut out the flowers and the friend block, adding some cream MM tiny types for the rest of the title.I did a double bow with my button and added that to finish the card.

That is all my loveliness of Cosmo Cricket today- I hope to create more to share with you very soon. Have a wonderful day!

WOW! These are fabulous! If you happen to see this comment, could you contact me? I'm on the Cosmo Cricket team, and we are supposed to pick out our favorite use of Cosmo Cricket on the web to share in a Cosmo Cricket blog post, which would link back to your blog post. I don't know if you permit that or not, so I'm asking. :-D Thanks!
