Is it Friday already?

Where has the week gone? Oh yeah- it was crazy here. My oldest daughter has injured her knee- we go to the Ortho today to see what the game plan is. Hopefully there will be no fracture and she can heal with a brace. With her not being able to do anything- being a nursemaid has taken a lot of my time. Love her so much, but it takes it's toll. I have to admit- she's my big helper and not having her to help with some of the chores makes me appreciate her so much more!
My hubby got hit with a nasty stomach bug and I got double time nursemaid status. Though he's a lot easier then my daughter to take care of!

Did you have a nice Valentine's Day? The girls and I made dozens and dozens of yummy cookies for gifting. It took us all day, then we had a delicious dinner of homemade Chinese with super delicious chocolate cake. Of course they all gave me gorgeous handmade cards and I got some chocolates from my hubby...

These cutout cookies were delicious- I made them extra thick to add some to lollipop sticks- and we added a nice cookie icing to just coat them. I put them in craft store baggies and tied them with raffia, LOVE how cute they turned out- and everyone just adored them that got one.

Last week I received a package from Cards mag from an ornament I had published in Dec. In the package was a sheet of Doodlebug christmas candy stickers- I adore Doodlebug, it's just so cute I want to pinch their cheeks! I took all these glittered candies and layered them onto a white block that I also added to a pink block and trimmed the edges with my scallop scissors. The dot cardstock is Bobunny, and the word Sweet was another part of the sticker sheet.

NOTE: I just realized my green lolly had slipped in the pic, so imagine it up where it belongs next to the candy sticks.

I added some of the stickers to foam tape and just jumbled them on the block. Then I added a tan block of paper, trimming the right edges with a corner rounder, and added two more strips of pink dot cardstock trimmed with scallop scissors. I added a button with a little twine, then I traced a rounded edge rectangle on the backside of my paper, punched holes with a needle and sewed the border with a lime green floss.

Here is another shot- showing off the A.DOR.A.BLE measuring spoons my sister Kelly sent me for my bday last week. How stinkin' cute are they!!! In case it's hard to see, they have lovey cupcakes on them, with hearts and sprinkles and I LOVE THEM! I even used them to make my cookies!

While I had my Christmas papers and embellies out- I have a box I am keeping my big holiday stuff in - just Christmas and Halloween, but it's nice to have them separate for space reasons, I found this berry spray from Cosmo Cricket. I just wanted a simple card, so I used a bit of this clay colored cardstock, trimming the edges with a corner rounder.
I added a strip of bobunny red dot cardstock. And I also added in this bobunny aqua ribbon along the edge. The rubon came in a package from MM of Christmas rubons. This card started out as a base for another decoration, but didn't work for me. So I really only made this card because it was half done and I wanted it finished.

This card was fun to make. All these fun glittered stickers, hated to just stick them in a box and not see them again for months. To make the card, I folded a piece of red cardstock, then added a block of Bobunny Tis the Season paper. On top of that I used a MM journal spot, and layered my stickers over that- some with foam tape.

I must have a naughty mind- because that house chimney makes me giggle! tee hee hee.

Ok- back to being a grownup, I added in a circle chip from Reminisce, and some glittery letters as well from Rem. I also added in my button and twine, just to finish off the design.

Of course you didn't think you'd leave here today without seeing some of my new obsession - corrugated cardboard? yep- I had a block I just needed to add those gbread men to, and I tied some raffia around, adding a bow and a brown button. I also layered two layers of Bobunny Persuasion collection paper to the bottom, punched with my trusty martha punch.

I added some Reminisce glitter stickers for the title, leaving in the extra bit inside the E, and the card itself was made with some Bobunny dot cardstock.

Have a terrific Friday!
Kris

I love the "sweet" card. Adorable! And all your Christmasy cards are adorable too. It's funny, it still seems like Christmas outside for us with all the snow. :)
