whoo hoo- 90th post

wow! I can't believe it's only been a few months of me blogging and I'm almost at my 100th post- I'll have to gather some goodies to giveaway and have a little celebration. I want to thank everyone who visits, those of you who have me bookmarked, on their blogrolls, and those of you who just happen to drop in. I really appreciate all the wonderful comments and remarks you leave me! Today I'm sharing a few things - I had a good run of creativity yesterday and got these done in a few hours. First I want to show you the weird sky we had at about 4:30 last night- it was just starting to snow and the sky was pink, it was pretty in an unusal way. it wasn't the sun setting- because over in the west it was a blue sky, it was just the color of the storm

First to share today is this cute little plaque I made with mostly Flair papers, the greens are all from the Calendar collection- June - it has these pretty butterflies I cut out. The tan paper is a recipe card I cut the font off of, then I added some Martha punch borders, and a Flair Scripture Quote. Topping it off is bobunny ribbon and lace, and a hemp tie with button. I think this would make a great gift. oh oh oh - I almost forgot- I got the wood plaque at dollartree- love that place!

Next is my sweet little baby card, using scraps- the green paper is SEI poppy line, with a MM journaling tear out, I used a K&CO bfly sticker, and some Michaels ribbon. The rubon is Anna Griffin, and I cut around it with scallop scissors. Add in some darice buttons, hemp- and I even recycled the backing that comes with the stickers -it's just plain white thin chipboard- why throw it away.

next is this lovely birdy card, I used Anna Griffin papers and cut the bird from the paper. The burgundy background paper is Kaiser- still using scraps. I added in Anna G twill, some Prima flowers, a button and hemp ( do I really need to keep saying that?) the always letters are Anna G rubons, and I used a few blue MM letters. I also managed to sew a circle- yay for me!

have I mentioned i {heart} dollartree- you can find some of the best things there- of course- you might have to really search- but my big one over in Delaware( home of tax free shopping - whoot whoot) has an arts and crafts section they are starting to really build up. I found some Miss Elizabeth's chipboard and flowers- these AWESOME chipboard bflies were in a package I picked up. the colors go so well with my Anna Griffin papers and rubon. I added some sewing on the cardstock, KI lace paper ( flipped over to the white side- it's an orange sheet) and a Hambly acrylic journaling spot- the white chip is more use of the K&CO trash backing of sticker sheet.
I still have leftovers from my day with bobunny's holiday cheer line- so I'm making a few more christmasy cards. I used some cardboard, some Hambly pink screen print, my martha scallop punch, I punched circles from the snowflake paper and put them on my trees, that I just handcut, then I added gems to the middle of the snowflakes. I also added a flower from the bobunny sweetie pie sheet- a pearl from Michaels and another sticker from holiday cheer for the greeting.

lastly today, I have this cute little thank you card. scraps from Kaiser Craft ( the pink dots), SEI the poppy paper, a MM journal tear out, a stitched on piece of scrap and the rubon is from Crate paper. the flower is mixed- I used a piece cut from white flower lace cardstock by KI memories, and a Miss Elizabeths' flower- I pierced the leaves tho - they were too plain for me.

again- sorry for my darkish pics- it's cloudy and overcast again today- I"m hoping for a sunshiney day soon.

thanks for dropping in. I'd love it if you left a comment!

Wow, I love all of these creations!!! Was the wood plaque decorated differently and you altered it, or was it a blank one?

Wow Kristen, you've been busy, and such gorgeous creations too! They are all absolutley stunning and I'm with everyone else I think, in that the birdy card is my favourite one too!

Thank you for leaving such kind words on my blog, it means a lot especially when things don't feel too great, as I'm sure I don't have to tell you.

I managed to get a card made using your lovely bonus sketch but a bit too late to put it on the 2S4Y site, so you can find it here.

Thanks again,
Mrs J x
