cards today

Tuesday! it's a rainy cold one here! the windows are all steamed up and I'm sitting here with a hot cuppa coffee. yum. do you have any fun family things that you do? My hubby and I played name that tune last night- or dueling youtube! LOL! my computer and the family computer are across from each other- so he was on one and I was on the other. Then we'd type in a group or singer, and find songs to stump each other. We'd let a few notes play and someone would have to yell out the name of the song. Alizabeth and DH are awesome at this game. Me - well- not so much! I have to hear the song up to the hook to even know what song it is- and DH can name Stairway to Heaven in one note. It's not quite fair- but to be honest- I win any word game. So its a balanced marriage! We used to play Balderdash with his family- it's a game where you guess definitions of words. It became a family joke that I would somewhere in the game, use the definition- a small northamerican bird found in marsh areas. SOMEONE would ALWAYS fall for it! ( the way to get points in the game was to make up a wrong definition and have others pick yours- then you to pick the correct definition of the word when the game master would read aloud everyone's definitions and the correct one. )

today I am sharing some new cards made with some older product- remember these old crate papers- love their line-shabby chic and just the touch antique looking.

I also got out my old We R Memory Keepers embossed punch outs- and used them on both cards. lots of ribbon, twine and rick rack on this one. this is based on Kazan's 12th sketch over at 2s4y. I know Halloween is just right around the corner- but i'm not feeling it this year. So I went with this family theme.

this card is also made with the Crate papers- I used my cricut- then added pearls to the end of the swirl. the flower and LOVE are cut from the embossible diecuts. I used a Martha punch for the scallops- and some bobunny lace that i adore.

I have some links for yummy projects too- PC Gourmet is preordering now-

this is a darling halloween project and recipe made by Alisa Bangerter courtesy of Paper Crafts.YUMM! I can't wait to try these biscuits- they look delish!

Cheesy Garlic Drop Biscuits
Alisa Bangerter
This is a perfect recipe to pull out if you are short on time because there is no rolling or cutting. The cheese and garlic add extra kick to a plain biscuit, and kids love them. They are the perfect accompaniment to serve with soups or stews, and are great served with a salad.
INGREDIENTS
2 c. flour
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 1/4 c. milk
Chives (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry cutter until mixture is fine. Add cheese and mix well. Add milk and stir until just moistened. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Sprinkle top with chopped dried or fresh chives if desired. Bake at 400 degrees for approx. 15 minutes.
And the supplies and instructions for the project:

Kristen this card is stunning - love all the dimension. I love your youtube game too - I use to win all the time at Baulderdash and I would always stump my husband -every time. It would drive him crazy that I could pull the wool over his eyes - heehee.
