5 days/5 looks/5 cards- card 1

Hello friends! I have decided to do a little series of cards showing off one single beautiful stamp set and show you just a couple different ways to create cards that are similar but different. Now I'm going to show a couple various ways to use the stamps, and a each card will have different colors, but this won't be each day a new technique, I'm just showing some fun cards here. I am using a Hero Arts stamp here.

Card One-  this dramatic combo really makes me happy! I love the red and black, and the touches of green and gold are just right to keep it from being too over the top.
I used a red spray mister to color the cardstock after I stamped the poppies on cream cardstock. I then restamped them on another cream cardstock, and sprayed that with gold and sunflower spray mist. I let that dry and then used watercolor pencils to color in the green stems, and fussy cut the flowers from the red misted piece.

For the background card, I used Girls Paperie ( green ) and Pink Paislee ( houndstooth ) against each other. I tied a piece of my almost black etsy ribbon ( my etsy store is linked at the right sidebar)  around the middle then added on a bit of red cardstock mat. I added a couple red buttons looped with twine and some pretty light lime gems to accent the flowers and buttons. My sentiment is from another Hero Arts stamp set. and I tied on another button with more of my almost black crinkled ribbon at the bottom of the flowers.

hope you enjoyed my card today!

Love that! and what a great idea to color in using spray mists instead of tediously coloring in with watercolor pencils!!!- Kelly

This is one of your most gorgeous cards ever! It reminds me of my trip to Italy where I fell in love with poppys. I love, love, love it!
Can't wait to see what else you have to show us.

Wow, this card is amazing. The red is so vivid it just pops off the paper. I also love the sentiment, because it really is the little things that matter most!
