new stamped cards

Hello my friends! First off today, I have to tell you how much Monday meant to me. I was so very excited to team up both Imaginisce and Glue Arts, and to be the third in that trio is just really such an honor. Then to top all of that sweet goodness off, I sat down and read and read and read, the sweet, kind, and completely wonderful comments and compliments you all left for me here-- and about me, to two big name companies. It means so very much to me. I commented on facebook that... I think my heart grew several sizes that day, to read what you all said about me and my work. So...

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I thank You!! I wish I could give each and every one of you a sweet hug!!

I have some stamped cards for you today, I was making a few cards for a recent magazine call and I had my stamps all out, so I took the time to play with some of the new stamps I have gotten on sale recently.

First card is a card I made for my niece's birthday- a little belated- I adore her and her sisters, but I need a better system for keeping track of their birthdays! She is not a pink girl, so I created this card with turquoise which I hope she will like.

I used Echo Park Paper for the background, then added in some strips of American Crafts. I punched down the one side of the strip and created that lacy border. I then used a scallop rect. I had cut with my Imagine and embossed with diamond in the rough folder. After I stamped the balloons and clouds, I fussy cut them out, and popped them up with my UCutIt foam. I added on the glittered embellies- I think are from Making Memories. And I added some liquid glue and glittered the stamped images as well.
I stamped the sentiment and added that to the card, with a button and twine bow to ground it. Stamps are from Amer. Crafts

Next I made this more elegant card, using a Martha Stewart Wedding card part ( my sister kelly gave me some of these to play with). I punched the bottom of that cardstock, then layered it on my card with a bit of a tattered angels tag. I trimmed them with a bit of black satin ribbon and bow. Then I added a Heidi Swapp medallion sticker. I handdrew my fake stitching at the bottom. Then I stamped the butterfly and cut it out. I added a small journal spot cut from my Imagine, and tucked it under two small Petaloo flowers with pearl centers.  I stamped the two sentiments on the journal spot and added my butterfly to the card. it got a little lost in the pattern, so I glittered the whole thing with my own concoction of glitter ( I had small amounts of fine iridescent glitter, large chunky glitter and crystal glitter- so I mixed them all together) when it was dry, I added a small prima rose in the center. stamp is from Inkadinkado.

This week, over on the Create blog, Paige asked us to make shaped cards. This one didn't make my cut. I finished it to share here. First I used my Gyspy to cut out the cupcake from Birthday Bash, I welded two images together to create the card, then I cut out the circle for the cherry. I handcut the icing and leaves, with cardstock. And i used corrugated cardboard for the cupcake liner base. I added a button to the cherry, then I used liquid glue and made swirls to add my glitter to. I created a little banner with Girls paper paper, and topped it with a stamp from Inkadinkado in red ink.

Another card using those Martha Stewart wedding card bases, I kept this simple and added some Pink Paislee teal paper that's been punched at the top.I stamped the sentiment at the top of the ribbon and bow I created, and then added the butterfly I'd stamped and cut out to the side. I added pen details on the edges of the card as well as a button in the center of the bow. The stamps are Inkadinkado - bfly and sentiment.

I tend to get hooked on an image, then try to find a bunch of ways to use it, all at the same time. As you can see, this butterfly was the object of my attention when I was creating! Inkadinkado bfly stamp again. This time I used a very large chipboard base from I think Colorbok. I added some Pink Paislee paper for the top of of the square, then I added a cut out square from my Imagine machine. I topped that with a lace  doily. Then my cutout butterfly.
I added on the ribbon bow, adhering the ribbon strip before I had mounted my chipboard to the card base. Then I added a button and twine, and stamped my tag, then added that tucked under the bow. I added two of my handmade pins for the antenna of the bfly and mounted that with Glue Arts Adhesive Squares. and topped the bfly with two small peachy orange prima roses.

For this nice card, I added girls paperie paper, I love that brown background with touches of blue. I used a bit of the turquoise blue as well, in a strip down the card. Then I added the brown cut piece and the white cut piece, both cut from my Imagine.I layered this pretty blue stripe ribbon from May Arts, tied in a double bow with a button center. I stamped my sentiment in Tim Holtz ink ( this ink bleeds a little- which is ok for me- but if you are looking for a solid stamped image- best not to use) then I cut out my bfly, and added a craft store flower layered with a brown petaloo flower and finally a prima rose. a very simple card for me. Sentiment stamp is Inkadinkado as well.

Lastly for now, I used my Pampered Pets cart and my Gypsy, then welded my birdcage together ( also hiding the cuts in the back shape and flipping the image) then I added the black strip at the bottom of the cage, adding a thin strip of the green paper cut with my deco mini scallop scissors. I added a couple yellow prima roses as well. I also added one at the top of the birdcage, adding a twine bow underneath of it with a couple of handcut leaves. Then I stamped and cut out the bfly, adding a bit of UCutIt foam underneath to pop up the wings a bit. I stamped my greeting, then rounded the corners to make a tag, then added the yellow button. Stamps are Inkadinkado

thank you SO MUCH for coming by today!
