feeling a little halloween-ish

so, I have been making a few cards this week. With back to school, it's been hectic, and I just haven't had the time to create with all the paperwork and making the girls snacks after school. I've been really enjoying this break from the heat too, it's been in the low 80's which feels so much cooler, so I've been baking as well. Made homemade chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies this week. Everyone feels very spoiled and all is well. :)
I did get out my scraps from another project and created some cards.
Echo park papers and stickers. I created the circle with deco edge scissors, then stitched around it with green thread. I added the witch legs block with a mat of black dot paper, wrapped it with twine and added a button. Then I added this ultra old gingham ribbon- must be 5 years old now, and the letters for the title, which I also stitched on. I cut the corners of the mat with my scallop scissors too.

this one turned out too cute. I paper pieced the owl using Echo Park papers, adding brads for the eyes. I also cut out the branch and popdotted both the owl and the branch. I put them on the purple paper with a piece of kraft, and added this piece of border sticker to the bottom. I added a few buttons, the greeting cut out and a simple twine bow.

lastly, just some super simple punched stars. Added them to this background created with scraps of paper and stitched around. then I added the black paper block. I cut out the greeting, and added a single popped up star ( using Glue Arts foam tape) and zig zagged a straight stitch across the stars with my machine. then I added a few matchy matchy gems and tied a bit of twine to the bottom.

Happy Friday to you, enjoy your day!
