Good Morning! If you are here for the Pink Paislee Inspiration Station blog hop, please check yesterday's post by scrolling down or click HERE.
In celebration of National Scrapbooking Day today, I made a couple quick cards yesterday before we headed out to a baseball game in Lancaster. My oldest daughters school choir sang God Bless America in the 7th inning.
It was quite a drive to get there so I only had about two hours to work.
First is this fun cheery card. I used Bobunny for the background, adding a Reminisce sticker label. I used some cricut swirls embossed cardstock and cut my own clouds, popdotting one. then added my sun with rainbow with more bb dot cs. I add gems to simulate raindrops and a blue gem in the label. For the greeting I used Reminisce letters.
I felt like using some Crafty Secrets images so I pulled out my handmade flowers. First I used Reminice pink and Amer. Crafts kraft swirls for the background, then I added a lace doily, and an Anna Griffin journal spot. I had bought some hem tape earlier this week and colored it with cherry blossom and walnut inks. that is my ribbon. I also made my sewing pattern flower- see an earlier post from this week for instructions on those, and under that I added a scrunched circle of tulle. I added my crafty secrets image, rounding the corners and adding some pretty pink buttons. Then I finished the card with these glittered Amer. Crafts letters.
Next is a fun card I made using my own walnut ink mister spray and a circle mask. I added a strip of corrugated cardstock, and a oval spot from Reminisce I cut out with my scallop scissors. two buttons and a CTMH trio with lime ink and glitter are finishing off the big decorations. I added a bit of twine around the corrugated strip and I added a couple Colorbok letters for the greeting.
Lastly is another card I made my own flower on. I was playing with my scallop punch and decided that it would make the cutest paper flower.
First let me tell you about the card. I grabbed this orange cs, and used my Scor -it board to score this diamond pattern. I foam taped the block up, adding some more handcolored hemp tape ribbon to it. I also punched two pieces of green paper for the scallop bottom. Then I added this Crafty Secrets image, faux stitching around it.
For my flower, I punched about 4 strips from my 8x11 paper, using my eksuccess punch. I wrapped the flowers just like the spiral flowers and glued them with my Glue Arts glue squares. Then I bent down my petals. I added a bit of tulle cut into strips like petals under my flower. I also added these cream leaves ( idea from Jana Eubank) to finish my card.
I hope you have a fantastic NSD!!
