New Cards

well, it's been a good week, busy but productive for me. I was able to get through a lot of my old stash and really make headway on it. What was great about that- was finding all sorts of great little inspirations to make cards.
( all these cards today are made with nothing but card blanks - the white card backing and scraps from my scrap pile)

For instance, I found this adorable Sticko 3d shaker robot, how cute is he. I used the red and green tones in his body for inspiration in colors, adding rick rack deco scissor edging around the outside edge of the red dot Bobunny cardstock. Then I added a Reminisce journal spot sticker to the front.

Along the bottom I have two layers of a torn strip of black cardstock. Then I added some ocean mist BB dot cardstock using a punch and making them into popped up stars. I also added some black dots around the edge of them, with a sharpie marker. I used some Martha Stewart brown letters to make the Great #8, and added a few MM tiny type letters for the rest of the greeting.
To finish off the card, I added a few stitched lines to the bottom of the card.

For this card, I had some super cute Doodlebug stickers I got in a package from Cards magazine, with an outdoors theme. I had put them aside, but felt inspired to create a natural looking card with these adorable mushrooms and some leafy looking stems. First I added a light brown block to my card, adding a sage block a bit smaller then the brown. I next added a torn strip of kraft paper, adding one last strip of Bobunny Espresso cardstock with one torn edge. Notice that I layered the mushroom stickers just barely under the edge of some of the strips of cardstock.

I added a button with a twine bow, and I used my jumbo needle to faux stitch along the top and bottom of the sage cardstock.
To finish off the card, I added my greeting with Reminisce stickers.

Next, another card with leftovers, this time a cutout scallop border- from my cricut and home accents cartridge. Apparently I had cut this out, it was too big of a scallop to use for my project, so it got stuck in my scraps box to hopefully find another use for. These flower punch outs came from a package from Cards magazine- this time in a kit from My Minds Eye.
So I picked the smallest ones, adding a K&Co sticker from a package my sister Kelly gave me a couple months ago. ( that's the glittered flower with gem). I also found this Hambly strip of acrylic with a pattern on it- leftover from another creation. Then I messily folded the green cardstock into a ruffled strip ( love the little bits of white showing on the edges) and added that to the card. I also added a Bobunny Glitter Brad- these are so lush!
I found a Colorbok glitter bfly that I added a button and floss to, finishing this off with some Kelly Panneci rubons, a flower and the greeting.
( sorry my pic isn't the greatest- still not getting the quality I like with white cardstock)

More Cosmo Cricket Golly by Jolly- I eeked out one more card while I was busy busy- ok
I used the cover sheet for this card. The sheet that came on the front of the package- it has all these cool designs, showing off what is in the package. These three papers were all in one row, so I just added them onto the front of the blue cardstock. I added the white block, with blue scallop border and put on the chipboard snowman, how cute is he. I added a Joy rubon from MM and then tied on a snowflake button ( Jesse James I think) and some black twine. Finished it off with a blue dot bobunny ribbon.

Please stop in tomorrow for more new creations.
Have a wonderful night.
Kris
