Trying some new challenges

I've been feeling like I needed to step out of my box lately- so I have gone looking for some new challenge blogs. I just found CardaLicious and they have some incredible talent there.
This weeks challenge is to make a baby card with ribbon and sewing. My sewing is faux, hope it counts! :)
I used some Dream Street papers- the colors are so soft and pretty- perfect for a baby card! I also added in an older Anna Griffin rubon, and some blue patterned paper from K&CO- it has touches of soft pearl in the design- oh soo gorgeous!! I handcut my scalloped oval, and popdotted it, putting on just the barest touches of ink. I dug out my gingham ribbon from bobunny, love tan or kraft with baby stuff! I also added in a sewing pattern flower- have to give credit to Annabelle O'Malley as she did one that I just adored! You just take and cut circles smaller and smaller, layer them then put them together with a brad and scrunch! I added some machine sewing without the thread, then used a colored pencil to draw in my lines- yeah- the hard way- but my machine is dying and asking for straight stitches with a thread is too much on the poor old thing!

thanks for looking!
