Precious Treasures

This is another altered item I made while making up my Dream Street designership items. I took their Forever Family collection to make this box. I love the soft colors in this collection- soo pretty and elegant! The box I used lifts up in the front, I bought it from the dollar store. I added in a bit of kraft cardstock as a background and added lots of patterns to the box iteself with the various papers. I also cut out the roses- using 4 roses for each finished rose- with each one- I cut around the petals in a smaller and smaller size, then popdotted and curled the edges. This is how I got the layered look that is so much more then a flat single piece. I fussy cut a butterfly and leaf stem from the green paper, and added them to my roses. The butterfly got a coating of glitter, then I added some pearl head pins, and a button with a pearl. I added more pearls to the leaf stem, and a single row along the edge of the kraft paper. Under the bfly is a green gingham ribbon that I have tied into a bow. I used some K&CO type letters to spell out Precious Treasures, but the S is covered by the leaf in the photos.
