Cardpatterns today

Today our Cardpatterns sketch is done by ..... ME!! tee hee!
Our sponsor Odd Bird Planet, sent us generous packages to play with and for my first card I used the pattern piece included in the kit as background paper. I also used this antique image that has numbers printed all over it. I added a bit of floss to the heritage buttons she included and added in some Martha flocked sticker letters. There were teeny tiny flowers included, so I've added them in a little bunch there. Thought this would make a super mother's day card.

This past week my oldest Alizabeth graduated elementary school, she looked so beautiful and grown up with her hair pulled to the side for the ceremony. The colors of her dress really worked well with her skin too! what you can't see in the pics is the cute flower that I made for her hair, shades of brown and orange for that flower- just like the ones I made earlier in the week.
Alizabeth acted as a valedictorian, giving a speech to the assembled parents, teachers and students. Her speech was wonderful and she received many compliments after the ceremony. She also received 12 awards that evening, including her second place winning entry for the state media festival for her podcast. Her most proud moment that evening was getting her pin and certificate for the Presidential Academic Excellence award.

That's all I have to share today, have a wonderful day!
