Happy St. Pats!

well- hope the luck of the irish has been with you today! I had planned and planned on making Irish Potatoes for a treat today- but time just has been getting away from me lately!
if you are interested in trying these delightful little treats- here is a recipe

Irish Potatoes
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 stick butter
1 cup shredded coconut
1 lb confectioners' sugar
Ground cinnamon
Mix together, all ingredients but cinnamon. Shape with hand into small football shaped pieces, drop into baggie with cinnamon and shake to coat. This is what makes them potato like. Store covered in fridge, use right away- they taste best fresh!
you can leave out the coconut if you don't like it- but they are pretty unique candies- the cinnamon gives them a bite- then cuts the sweetness of the inside candy.

I wanted to try the Use It challenge this week- Danni's challenge was to use spring colors- check.
A tag- check check check- mine were old white ones I had dyed long ago.
4 flowers- yep - got'em!

my pics are a bit high contrast today! but you can see- it's all old stuff- well- the papers aren't - BUT they are scraps- so I figure that is good too- my motto- use the scraps up!!
I used Bobunny Alissa papers, some AC thickers glitter letters, and a Martha Punch for the bflies. I cut out a journaling spot from the Bobunny cutouts paper- trimmed it with my scallop scissors- am so addicted to that lately.
I want to share our new addition to the family! I miss my buddy Peanut so much that I couldn't not have another little kitty to give love to- so we found this sweet little girl to adopt. We've named her Sugar and she is soo sweet! ! She has attached to Alizabeth and sleeps in her bed at night- so Alizabeth also is just adoring her.

again- more scraps from bobunny alissa line- in my irish mood today so I cut out several of these clovers using my cricut and the paper dolls cart. I added in some MM letters and those glittery AC thickers letters.

same thing for this one- just a different card.

last is this Hi card, with much of the same scraps, I also used the sewing machine to stitch on the flower stems. added in some bobunny brads and prima flowers.

lastly I have this simply candle I wrapped- I have this out in my office- just sitting on a small clear plate, but I wanted to dress it up a little. I used a piece of espresso brown cardstock, I punched holes in with my Martha eyelet punch, then added some Scenic Route paper, and a flower cut from the reverse. Simple and done!

have a fantastic evening!
