Cardpatterns today

So here is the card I made for CP sketch #17. We were still being sponsered by the Digi Shack- how cute is this little dragon baby? I thought it would make the sweetest baby card. I used Bobunny dot cardstock, some Bobunny dot ribbon, and some old stash bobunny letters- love those cute old stickers letters- need to use them more often! Then I added in small rubon letters from BG I think. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss ( Spots and Dots folder) the white background. For the dragon, I used my watercolor pencils- lining parts of the dragon with one side blue and one side lime, then used my waterbrush to blend them down the middle. Then I used a teal for some of the other parts of him. I printed two dragons, then added glitter to the second one's wings, which I had already colored. Let it dry then cut them out and popdotted them. I hope you can see the glitter on him- it's super sweet!!!Thanks for dropping in today- hope you like my card- enjoy your weekend!!

Cue the Steel Drums please...

ahh, da warm breezes of da islands, they are wonderful mon! do ya like your fruity drink mon? oh- why am I talkin' like dis ? cause mon- bobunny, she's debuting her CALYPSO line and thought you'd like to get into da island groove wit me. Smell the tropical air and enjoy the warm sandy beaches. Come on- take a mini vacation wit me.
So this is my favorite card i made with some of the Calypso line- love that green and blue- and the sweet little green stem rubon. I added the eyelet lace detail using my Martha punch, some green Michaels ribbon and a touch of BB double dot ribbon. the letters are bobunny too.

This card i made with more Calypso, the journaling cutout, the rubon that I half colored in and a little bit of the blue paper scallop cutout on my Cricut machine.

I added some knotted BB double dot ribbon and some alpha stickers. The red pearl is K&CO from a discounted pack.

This red beauty uses more of the Calypso papers ( do you hear pirates of the carribean when you say that name?) Ca-lyp-so, the way the goddess said her own name in the movie.

I used another flower rubon, and added some punched bflies with pearls. Then I added on a saying from Scenic Route, some more bobunny ribbon and a tiny number sticker strip from Scenic Route.

Next I'm sharing the Dog Cookie Treat box I made that was featured on the Bobunny blog, with some close ups to see the details- lots of foam tape here.

This set is made with Bobunny Pet Shop line, and the letters are from the U Bug Me Line, but both lines combine beautifully!- so you need them both!! LOL! I used this craft box I got at Mike's - and added in some Gravy Basted Milk Bones- Casey was glued to my side as I created this!! LOL! As I said on my bobunny post- this would be a great gift- a hostess gift or thank you gift- sometimes we can give for the pets in our friends lives and it's much appreciated.

and last but not least- I am sharing a layout with the brand new Reminisce Collection- Under the Sea! This line has tons of fun papers, glittered stickers, glittered chipboard and clear stickers! I layered the stickers and chipboard on my layout for a super cute 3D layout. I feel like it looks like a little aquarium in there! too fun!

that's what I have to share today- thanks for dropping in- and don't forget to leave a comment to be entered into the drawing for my blog candy!

Memorial Day weekend

I'm posting this early to get a jump start on our weekend. We are going to be relaxing in the pool or in the yard, enjoying some time with family, weeding the garden a bit and having a cookout today. Hopefully the weather will be gorgeous and we can enjoy a fire in the firepit and watch out for fireworks over the trees tonight.

We're having the typical burgers and dogs on the grill, but I opted for homemade tater salad and shrimp salad with the veggie dip. I made some yummy chocolate chip toffee crunch cookies that all the girls are going to make their own cookie ice cream sandwiches and my sis is bringing some chocolate sprinkles for the edges! yum yum yum!! ( btw- while at the grocery store yesterday I picked up a new yum treat- caramel & vanilla swirl marshmallows- oh boy!!!)

Here is a wall hanging perfect for this weekend! I made this with the new Freedom Collection from Reminisce- don't forget about the contest with this line!! $500!!
I used lots of paper and stickers from the collection, and added some paper strips that I twirled around a pencil to get these fun little streamers. I also added a couple of the flag stickers to large toothpicks and created the flag sticks.

Over at Cardpatterns, we are continuing to be sponsered by The Digi Shack- I chose this pretty flower bunch to use- you might remember it from Marie and Tracy's GORGEOUS cards last week. I went bold with the colors, and like my mini tutorial last week- I used colored pencils for the bright colors. I also cut the background short, then fussy cut the tips to have it extend over the edges on all the sides. Then I added some flowers cut out again and popdotted on there.

The papers for the cards are Bobunny Love Shack for the dark pink, and Scenic Route for the lined paper. I used my scalloped scissors to cut out an oval, and the patterned paper edges. I added a few MM buttons, and Basic Grey letter stickers ( use that stash!!)

That is it for today- have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!!

I only post twice a week

apparently! ;p I guess with spring here and school getting ready to finish up for the year, I've just had a lot on my plate. BUT the good thing is- I have lots of stuff to share with you today.

First- would you like to win $500? Reminisce is debuting their Freedom Collection and you can win by entering your best layouts using a majority of the new Freedom Collection! You have til June 15th to get yours in!

Next I have a challenge post- no not some blog challenge, but one that my sister, Kelly, sent me.
I had borrowed her Close To My Heart stamp set- Cottage Floral- and she had these scraps left of the papers that match the stamps. So she challenged me to make as many cards as I could with them. She also sent me these terrific envelopes- so I used those to make the card, and a simple stamped notecard to go inside.

I also made two regular cards, but it was fun to use a collection I'd never played with, and I loved stamping and cutting out the flowers! I used my Colorbox stamp inks- and popdotted up all the cutout flowers. I also used one of her CTMH butterfly stamps as well.

Next I am sharing one of the layouts I did for the bobunny blog. For this layout, I used the cool tool, the FLEX ruler- I made a wave and cut it out, matching it again for the top and bottom and cutting out a second set for a layered look. I also used lots of Pet Shoppe papers and stickers. This is our kitty Sugar, she's my sweetheart.

Next is a layout for the Alissa line- ( so close to my oldest's name- think I can convince Jan Lanoy that she needs an Alizabeth line? or maybe an Annalise line? hmmm- Kris sounds like it should be full of teals, lime greens and oranges! LOL!)

This layout has my youngest with her sweet sweet cousin! I used tons of Alissa stuff on here, including stickers, borders from Alpha combo and journal cutouts as well.

And lastly, I have an enormous sweeth tooth! Do you?
I would love to feed your sweet tooth with some awesome blog candy!!
I am celebrating- 15,000 hits on my blog!!! woohooo!! I never thought that I would even come this close to having so many of you visit me. I am still a few months from my one year blogiversary, and I am amazed to see the line of faces of those of you who have taken the time to become followers of this blog- I {heart} you all!!
Thank you for coming, every day, once a week, even once in a while, to drop in and see what I've been up to! My special thanks go to everyone who has left me comments and compliments on my work.
So to win this candy- what do you need to do?
just leave me a comment somewhere on my blog before June 1! please USA residents only- international ship is too pricey for me ( if you are international and would like to leave me a comment, just let me know so I don't enter you)
thank you all so much- couldn't have come this far without you!!
here is a pic of the candy- there is a mega pack of Flair Sports paper, some colorbok papers, Reminisce rubons and stickers, some MM stickers and tearouts , Bobunny flowers and colorbok small embellies, along with a chipboard album and Oh Baby idea book.

Have a most wonderful wonderful day!

Happy Sunday

Good Sunday Morning! Today I am excited to share my Cardpatterns card with you!!

This week our sponser was The Digi Shack, and we received beautiful images to work with! I got this corner vine that I had so much fun with! I used my watercolor pencils- my favorite tool for coloring in stamps, especially digital stamps. In case you aren't familiar with digital stamps- they are an image on your computer that you can print out with your printer, resizing to your desires, and adding sentiments- like I did with my greeting. You can print these images infinately- so making multiple cards is soooo super easy! ( and they come out perfectly every time!!)

What I did was to use my photo program to resize the image to 6 inches wide, then I added a text box right up close to the stamp image. And then printed it out 2x.

I then took my water color pencils and outlined each section of the stamp - I have a water brush- the brush holds water into it and you squeeze it for more- and took the damp tip to wet the colored pencil and pull the color down into the image. Once I was done, I put a large drop of water on my table, and stuck the tip of the pencil into that. Then darkened the edges of the images again, this is how the colors are so dark and rich on the image. After I was finished with the leaves and flowers, I took a blue pencil and added the shadow to the image, grounding it to my paper. On the second image I only colored in the small sections I planned on cutting out.

I also cut out the image, and did some fussy cutting work to have the image extend beyond the white of the cardstock I printed the image on. I took a pencil and wrapped some of those extending leaves to give them a little dimension.

After everything was dry, I cut the images out of my 2nd piece and popdotted them onto the top of the first stamped image. I also did the pencil wrapping on some of the leaves to give those dimension since I didn't use the foam tape on them. I then finished the card off with some DCWV pink paper, some Bobunny Love Shack green paper, ribbon, scallop scissors, a green zigzag cut from Making Memories paper, a button, and gems.
Thanks for dropping in!

Stamped cards!

I have been in a stamping frenzy my friends! My sister has lent me many many of her gorgeous CTMH stamp sets and of course I am trying to make the most out of my time with the sets. Guess I've got the stampin' bug! It helps that there have been soo many gorgeous stamps out there- and colors of ink have improved I think as well! I had many colors of ink from several years ago- and unfortunately- most of them are no longer any good for me to use, BUT I haven't had to purchase a lot- I put my money on some beautiful jewel tones in a Petal Point box, those ones that you can pull out individually, and some beautiful brights from Martha Stewart- her version of petal points that stack.
(I'm having so much fun with stamps- I think I'd like to work for a stamping company- anyone out there looking for designers?)

I grabbed up my scraps and created this card for the CardPatterns sketch this week. These cute frogs are from a Colorbok set ( still haven't found that thing- it must have stuck to something else! ) I stamped, cutout and popdotted each little happy froggie on there. I used some wonderful Bobunny papers and a bit of Scenic Route graph paper- love that stuff- so versitile!!
I printed the Hoppy Bday from my puter and added some fun twine in a bow to finish it.

This card was fun fun fun to layer! I used CTMH stamps- Friendship word puzzle, Promise of Spring, Happiness, and Butterflies sets. The dot pp- is actually the backing paper for the bracket chipboard sticker from Reminisce! I added in my Martha eyelet lace punch, and a teeny bit of Anna Griffin twill for the ribbon. LOVE this card, not my usual with the dark colors, but it's so rich with texture from all the layers!
This card, soo pretty ! I love sage and brown together, it's sophisticated to me! For this one- I used a bit of SEI paper, my martha punch, a tag from MAMBI, Bobunny ribbon, CTMH butterflies and April Word Puzzle stamp, with some pretty mike's and martha pearls. I {HEART} cutting out butterflies, and just glueing down the body - their wings stick up and it makes them look like they are just ready to fly off the card!

Next is this pretty blue and green card! so springlike! I used some MM chloe's closet paper- so fun with the zigzag edge that I trimmed off and layered. Then some embossed swiss dots cardstock, some CTMH flutter and A huge Thanks stamps, a bit of twine and buttons, some gems and Bobunny ribbon finish it off.

Next- I had an idea for stamping on CORK! I had some thin cork sitting out and grabbed it up- it worked so beautifully! tho I would suggest using dye ink- or setting the pigment either with a heat gun or embossing it- I tried allowing it to dry but it still smeared on my finger quite a bit. I love the texture with this tho- and cutting it out worked great- you just gotta be super careful not to crumble the cork! I added some bobunny paper, a CTMH because of you sentiment, some twine, a brad and buttons.

Next are two cards made with some of the same papers. I admit it- Peach is so not a color I enjoy- but I tried to use something out of my comfort zone, and created these two cards with Bobunny paper.
I used CTMH butterflies and A Huge Thanks sets for this card, added in some buttons with knots of ribbon, my martha punch- doesn't it just add such nice detail, I guess I couldn't leave it off yesterday! LOL! then I popdotted the circle sentiment and added the pearls to it all.

Lastly for today- are you still with me? .....
hello? ....
is this thing on? ......
oh- there you are!!
just this one last one for now- again- Bobunny papers- the collection is called Garden Chic- and I used some CTMH Flutter stamps for the bflies, and the A Huge Thanks for the sentiment. I double ribboned this one, and of course added the pearls to everything. The ribbon is Anna Griffin.
that is it! thanks for hanging with me- and checking with all my cards - my many many cards today! hope you have a wonderful springlike weekend- we are so gonna enjoy the weather- after what seems like 3 months of rain this past week!
kris
and btw- I am so NOT a pusher to sell- BUT- if you like what I've created enough that you want to purchase something you see and you don't know anyone who is a consultant
my sister Kelly - is a Close to My Heart consultant and you can get in touch with her through her blog- just let her know I set ya! :)

Happy Hump day

I can't believe it's Wednesday already! I guess cause I have had to run out and do errands the last two days.
Today I wanted to share the fab cute cards I made with Bobunny Anna Sophia (3 sheets) some premade cards, some CTMH stamps- A Huge Thanks, Flutter and Happiness sets, lots of fun jewels and pearls, plus a little ribbon, and some foam tape. I used my deco scallop and cloud scissors, and my Martha punch. The ink I used is a set from Martha stewart- some gorgeous colors in this group! I used a cute little trick that I copied off my sister Kelly-adding a touch of glitter on the stamped images- look closely for the glitter on the bflies and flowers.
I know they all appear pretty much the same, but I wanted to share how you can make sets of cards, making them different, but using the same papers, and get several cards out of just 3 sheets of double sided patterned paper- stretching your dollars!
I'm also sharing this sweet little baby card i made with Flair papers, I cut the letters out of some blocks paper, and the moon is from my cricut paper dolls cartridge. I added a Martha pearl to it for the eye. A touch of sheer ribbon and AC glitter letters finished it off.

thank you so much for coming by today! hope that you have a fantastic rest of the week!

Cards today

Cardpatterns went up on Sat, and here i am being so late- my appologies- but it was a rough weekend. So I'm just tonight getting around to posting.
I used some scraps of Bobunny to make my card, I loved the idea of a star when I saw Michelle's sketch- so I kept that, and cut some thin cork out with my cricut, then layered it with the star paper. I added in some KI lace paper as well. I used a Cornish Heritage Farms stamp for the greeting.
Next I have a couple Flair items, I used the new small 8x8 paper pads for the paper for this- the laundry line was so cute- I just had to cut it out and pop dot it- making it look like it's drying on the line.
Next is another card using the same papers, I added in some blocks from the block paper, makes for great lettering, and added a cricut cut boat- from the paper dolls cart!

lastly is this mediocre card that I made with scraps of KaiserCraft paper, some Anna Griffin ribbon and Colorbok stamps- those stamps have walked away- apparently I put them in with something else and cant' find them- argh!
I stamped onto Scenic Route paper, then cut them out, and pop dotted the flowers.

thanks for dropping by today! hopefully my creative muse will come back to me this week- and when she does, I'm gonna super glue her shoes to my desk! :)

Bobunny Blog Hop!

Welcome to another Bobunny Blog hop! Thanks for dropping in from Shanna's Blog!

Many of you know-keeping hopping to each team members blog, to reveal our special secret guest designer! THIS one is just a fabulous gal and I hope you all enjoy finding out who she is.

We are focusing on the LOVE SHACK collection this time, and in case you hadn't heard when I screamed it from the mountain tops, I was so fortunate to have been asked to work on creating some stickers for Bobunny, and these Sandcastle stickers were one of the stickers I designed.

I'm also sharing a cute little house wall hanging that I created with Pet Shop and Double Dot cardstock. I just had too much fun layering all the fun things on there. In case it's a little hard to read, it says- Home is where the heart is..

So what I'd love to know is- what is your idea of a perfect summer day?

Mine is spent with these guys- getting in the pool on a hot hot day, playing and splashing, eating hot dogs & burgers cooked on the grill then relaxing by the bonfire while we watch fireworks explode over the trees in the distance. ( during the summer the fireworks are a nightly show in the distance on the weekends)

Please continue hopping over to Tamara's Blog -

Have a wonderful day!
