Color Design Challenge

This is actually the first time I've ever participated in Kristina's color challenge- but I am really happy with how my card turned out!
I used some my new-ish Hampton Arts stamps, and vintage ink pad in ocean. Took out my cardstock and layered away! I added some super old ( but awesome) doodlebug flowers to the background of the card, and a few more over the stamped image. and I used my scallop scissors lots as well. I added a bit of bobunny ribbon, and some MAMBI red gems to the flowers and the tag, note the super old metal tag on there as well! Thanks for dropping in!
Tune in tomorrow for a fun surprise!

Where Oh Where Oh Where is...

Spring? Cause we went from cold- to cool- to HOT! it's gonna be around 88 today! Good thing we got the pool ready last week- we spent time in it last night- and it was already at 75 degrees- nice to get in.
Since the AC isnt' on yet at school, the girls were wearing their summer wear, Annalise looked so cute and fresh in her orangy top!

Over at the Moxie Fab blog, Cath was doing a Mother's Day gift contest- so I made this set for the food wrap catagory. I used gorgeous Anna Griffin papers, including the flocked butterflies that I fussy cut from the paper. Below you will find a couple close ups of the card and tin.

Inside the tin I added some homemade Chocolate Chip Toffee cookies. I simply took Heath bits and added them to my delicious chocolate chip recipe. They are scrumptious!
I also used my cricut to cut the leaves out, added in some Creative Imag. letter stickers, offray ribbon and my usual buttons and floss. I also added on some Martha pearls.

This card/gift card holder is the other sample I made for the Moxie Fab Mother's Day challenge- the inside of the card is simply a pocket that holds the GC. Again- Anna Griffin product- I mixed the collections on this one.

This card I made with scraps, adding in some SEI ribbon, Martha punch, and MM rubons with MME letter stickers.

Have a great day- enjoy the rest of your week!

Reminisce layout

Reminisce is bringing out the basics. The BABY Basics collection - these papers and stickers are just so sweet and precious! I used the blue for this layout of Annalise. I just loved the jumbo elephant sticker! and to coordinate with the cloud paper- I handcut my own clouds and pop dotted some of them. Annalise was just the cutest chubby little thing! I added on lots of buttons and twine, and used some glittery AC stickers and a few MM tiny type letters to finish it off.
have a GREAT monday!

Saturday and Sunny

Hello you all!! Just a quick post today- my hubby has been on vacation this week and we've been hanging out and doing small projects this week. He says it's been the most relaxing vacation ever! and of course we've loved just being together alone most of the day- nice to have that time without the girls and just reconnect with each other. BUT it also means I haven't been creating near as much as when he's working. So forgive my absence this past week!

I'm sharing this card based on the lovely sketch at Cardpatterns this week- you gotta check out the other DT girls cards, this week everyone did such amazing cards- not that they typically don't ! LOL! but this week they are really outstanding!!
My card uses some Bobunny double dot cardstock, a MM journaling tear out, some Prima flowers and the loopy white flowers I've cut from KI lace cardstock- flower.
I used some Martha flocked letters and a rubon from My Mind's eye. LOVE those beautiful gem brads, can't remember who makes those!

thanks for dropping by- it's gonna be a hot weekend- good thing we shocked the pool- it'll be perfect for a dip! We're also planning on getting my garden ready- fresh veggies! yum yum yum!!
have a wonderful weekend!

Rainy Monday

Good Monday morning to you- we had a beautiful weekend- it was so springlike and beautiful! the sun was shining and warm. Our Flowering Cherry tree bloomed up and the petals are falling off already- so sad - the petals are just everywhere! Our lawn looks like it needs some Head&Shoulders! LOL!
It's going to be a rainy day here today.
I am sharing my Cardpatterns card this morning. Paper Pixie was our sponser and she sent us the cutest items to play with. The kraft bracket , date scallop and crown scallop were all from her. I added some bling to the crown and printed out my greeting. The card is made with Bobunny dot cardstock, and some scraps of Scenic Route paper. I added a brad- look no buttons or ribbons! can you believe it- I was having serious withdrawls! my next few cards will probably have an overload of them!

that's all I have to share today- hope you have the beginnings of a wonderful week!

BO BUNNY BLOG HOPPIN!

Hello! Happy Friday to you!!! Once again we have a fun Bobunny blog hop going on here. Welcome to those of you coming from Julia's blog, and also welcome to those of you coming from 2sketches4 you. For the new hoppers, start at the bobunny blog, then hop along to each design team members blog, leaving comments as you go, to find out the GUEST DESIGNER for the hop, then go back to the bobunny blog and leave us a comment telling us who the designer is!

I based this card on the sketch Kazan did this week, I used the awesome new line U Bug Me from Bobunny to make this card. I also used a Colorbok glitter acetate piece ( frog) , a tear out sheet and tiny type letters from MM, and a MAMBI tag I flipped to the backside.

I thought it was perfect for today- HOPPIN! frog- hoppy birthday! LOL! ( doesn't take much to amuse me these days!)

Scroll down to the bottom of my post for the rest of the HOP details.

next I made this card, I typically have trouble with boy cards, but the line is really easy to work with and this turned out so cute! I fussy cut the frog from the U BUG ME line and the rest are papers and journal spots from the collection. I added in a K&CO rubon for the sentiment.

Next is this very fussy card, I just kept adding layers! I guess that's better then tossing the whole thing and starting over! I used some scraps of the U BUG ME line, then added a MM tear spot, then layered an oval with some stamped Colorbok stamps- the bird and deer both have pearl eyes. ( pearls from Michaels) I used a colorbox petal points ink box and the color is Chestnut. I colored the bird and berries with sharpie pen. the rubon is also from K&CO.

I received an awesome package from a Cards publication and in it was this beautiful package of SEI paper that has these bronze foil medallions. , I just had to cut them out and play. I paired a new set of stamps- from Hampton Arts, with the foil swirl sticker, fussy cutting out the word Mother and the birds, and layered them onto this MM label sticker. some more pearls finish it off.
I also got out some of my new favorites, these Colorbok chipboard glitter stickers, layering them onto my Bobunny stickers, and adding in a couple MM pins. I used some scraps of the SEI paper, including a bit of striped foil paper. I folded up the ribbon using mini glue dots.

I have also been doing lots of card sets in preperation for an upcoming craft fair that my sister Kelly and I have teamed up to sell at. I found these gorgeous pre-embossed cards and am finishing them off with my new Hampton Arts stamps, a little SEI scrap paper, colorbox petal points ink and pearls. They actually match better IRL, in my pics the colors aren't as close looking.

These next sets I have several versions made, but all are made with the same colors and stamps, I made three pink, and three blue sets , plus one black and yellow set with this CTMH Celebrate stamp set. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the white cardstock, and I cut out all the presents and cupcakes, plus added on gems to each cupcake.

and last but not least- for the BLOG HOP
please leave me a comment telling me -in consideration of the U BUG ME line- what is your LEAST favorite and MOST favorite creepy crawly?
My least- are spiders- they scare me!! and we get some big un's here - Wolf spiders! My favorite is ladybugs!! they are so sweet looking!
please continue hopping away- on to our GUEST DESIGNERS BLOG!!
have a wonderful friday, thanks for stopping by and thank you in advance for your comments!

Happy Thursday!

Hello- it's been a week of busy creating for me- I'll be sharing tomorrow- so be sure to drop in and see the fun stuff going on!
For now I wanted to share my Reminisce items I've made using the GOOD BOY collection. Such cute icons and shapes, and I love the cute little stickers! the colors are wonderful too. I made a layout about Casey our sweet lab/shepard mix. She's a big baby and totally my dog! We hang out most of the day! I used almost all Reminisce stickers and papers for this layout, those little word shapes are too cute! I did throw in a little Bobunny ribbon too!I got this RAD bone frame at the DollarTree a while ago, isn't it the cutest for my pic of Casey! What you can't see upclose is that I used a clear dimensional product to pop up the best friend thought and the letters in her name, along with the top bone. Isn't this just the cutest!! I love decorating frames, they come out so nice. I use sandpaper on the edges and it makes it go along the edges just perfectly.

ta ta for now- be sure to check in tomorrow for a fun time!
have a great night!

Happy Saturday

I am going to go ahead and post my Cardpatterns card, though I usually wait until Monday- but since it's a rainy ucky day I have a little time today.
This sketch was so fun to work with- really different for me and brought me right out of my comfy and safe rut! LOL! Michelle treated me with these wonderful rubons from KI Memories. I used some packaging as scraps for acetate and rubbed the butterflies on then cut them out. I added a little bend to the wings as well. The journal spot is one I made in Word Art- then printed and cut out- I added the flowers to white cardstock, punched them with a 1 inch circle punch then lined them up along the side, popdotting some up. I added a ribbon and gem to the blue flower. Then I added some K&CO letters and MM tiny type letters. Super simple card, but I love it!

Next are a couple items from the Bobunny Blog. Using Abbey Road, one of my new favorite lines, I made this cute layout of Annalise. I love these pics I took of her running and laughing last summer. I hand cut the tree and all the product is Bobunny. You can get those details on the Bobunny blog, and also check out the other projects done by the talented team members.
This cute little card is probably the only EASTER card I have done this month! Easter sure did catch up to me fast. I cut the little shapes out of stickers, and everything of course is Bobunny Abbey Road line. don't you just love the colors!

Happy Easter- hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Friday Cards

We are in the midst of spring break this week. My sister came down on Wednesday and our girls all got to play and have fun- they loved it. We loved having them down and hope to see them all lots more! When she came down, she also brought me lots of lovely stamps to borrow and play with. As a CTMH consultant Kelly has lots of beautiful goodies and I have a big ol bag of stamps waiting for me to create with.

This card uses some pretty scraps, the bobunny double dot chocolate, white and light lime green cardstocks. I did use a new piece of blue to stamp on and create the card.
The stamp is CTMH Alfresco. I cut the shape out and popdotted it on a circle I cut with my scallop scissors. I added some prima gems and a bit of stickles for a touch of glitter. Then I added a Hampton Arts stamp- got these at Michaels for $1! The ribbon is some old MM that I've had forever.
This cute cute froggie doesn't show up as well as I'd like, the leaf is all glittery and sweet. These 3d stickers were on clearance at Michaels and I just had to buy them. They are colorbok. I cut a white circle from a backing sheet that was in a stack of paper ( good for recycling- and just a bit sturdier then cardstock) then I stitched it with orange floss. I added a couple leaves from my cricut ( accent ess. cart) and then popped them up. The larger circle was cut from some Chloe's Closet papers by MM that I bought as well. I added the Bobunny Double Dot cardstocks and some more of that backing sheet from the MM papers, cut with my scallop scissors. Again, more of that same blue cardstock I grabbed for the top card.
Next is a card with black cardstock- leftover scraps! another piece of that MM Chloe's closet paper, some scraps of sage and bobunny double dot in teal. I added in a MAMBI journal spot, some MM tiny type letters and this adorable glittery acetate snail from Colobok ( also on clearance!) some old ribbon and a button to finish it off.
in case you are wondering- snail=slow=late to send a card!! LOL!

I made this card for the Moxie Fab Challenge- stitching on cards. I used - yep-more of that Chloe's closet sheet,( got a lot of use from it and still have tons of this one sheet left!) some Martha punch bflies, a tag from MAMBI and Bobunny ribbon. The flower is punched ( eksuccess) and the leaves are cricut (accent ess). The word Celebrate is another $1 set purchase from Hampton Arts.
This last card I made with more scraps, bobunny double dots, and the rest of that blue cardstock. I used some MM felt stickers and a couple martha flocked letters. The owl is also one of those cute colorbok stickers with glitter in the background. I used some Colorbok stamps ( also Clearance! I got some DEALS I tell ya!) and cut out the flowers and leaves. The gems are Mambi. I also used that CTMH stamp and cut that out again, then placed it under the colorbok sticker. A little Anna Griffin ribbon finished this one off.

That's it for today. Have a great Good Friday and Happiest of Easters to you!!
enjoy your weekend.

new cards today

I try to work on Challenges during the week when I have a day that I'm not as busy. So today I got out my scraps box, and my pile of cute goodies and created cards!
I'm definately working on using up my great pile of stash, along with trying to create fresh looking cards with older product and reusable resources.
This card I created with this weeks 2sketches4you sketch. I used bobunny Decaf dot cardstock, the green dot is Bobunny Grease Monkey scraps, and the plaid green is a bit of Scenic Route. The bracket embellie is from paper pixie, and I used my cricut to cut these leaves from the paper doll template ( frankenstein's bride accessory), the owl is a sticker from K&CO and the hello word is flocked Around the Block stickers. I sanded everything for a touch of distressing.
This card is for the 365 Card challenge & the USE IT challenge. The 365 challenge being- dress up some chipboard. I dressed this Colorbok dragonfly up by first embossing it in my cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder, then I colored it with a blue highlighter, adding a dragonfly sticker on top- from EKsuccess. I used more Grease Monkey and Citrus double dot cardstock from Bobunny, with a journal tear out from MM. Some old number paper from KI memories paper, and Bobunny double dot ribbon. The Use It challenges were- old diecut ( mine's not that old but I was never into them much), paper that is 2 years or older (mine's going back probably older then that), old tool or technique ( I love sanding but don't do it much anymore) and something from clearance (the thinking of rubon from MM).

this next card isn't a challenge- but I was still in the creating mood. I used some more SEI scraps, a scrap of journal tear out, and some clearance rubons by MAMBI. I also cut out an extra leaf from the cricut so I used that.

more scraps, just wanting to play with these rubons from K&CO that I found in my stash, and created this card with Bobunny double dot cardstock, some kraft cardstock, the K&co rubons, Around the block gems, a hambly acetate journal spot, flower from EKsuccess, bobunny ribbon, MAMBI rubon word and Joanne's sticker.

thanks for dropping by today! hope you are having a great week!

Cardpattens card

I'm sharing the card I did based on the cardpatterns sketch this week. I've had these K&CO felt flowers for a while and just hadn't used them on anything- tho I'd wanted too. I used Bobunny love shack paper for the background, a sheet of MM tear out journaling block and my cricut to cut the scallops in a bit of scrap Alissa line by Bobunny. I used my sewing machine at the top- poor thing is about to die- it's only 20 years old! I used an OLD tag on the bottom and some old DCWV sticker letters for hello.
I'm trying new ways to take pics- kudos to anyone who has figured out those bright and perfect looking pics of their items- I have just had the hardest time with it. Still working on it!
have a super fantastic monday!

BLOG HOPPING!!!

I am so excited for the 2nd Bobunny Blog hop today! whooooo hoooo! Welcome to those who have hopped here from Shanna's Blog.

Today we are asking any question we like as we ask you to leave comments on each of our blogs. Leave a comment on each blog then return to the main Bobunny blog to be entered into a drawing for some Abbey Road items!

And sharing some Abbey Road items- I made this cute card with the collection, fussy cutting the leaves out and popdotting them. The bracket paper is actually a journal block that I have cut out. I also used Bobunny double dot cardstock for the card, and sanded the edges of the block and card for some texture. I added some old wired ribbon from offray, and a rubon from Making Memories.

I want to know- what is your favorite Bobunny collection and why? I typically go gaga over all the new stuff- especially the last new releases as Abbey Road and Alissa are colors I just adore. But one of my very favorite collections is an older one called Anna Sophia. I love the limes, greens, reds and golds in it, and all the papers are just soo pretty and distressed.

Here are a couple of older cards I made with this beautiful collection.

Please continue hopping over toTamara'sBlog where you can answer Tamara's question and see the next link for our blog hop, where eventually you will find out our next guest designer!

Have a Happy Friday!

Challenges

I took a little time today to work on Kazan's sketch today. I used some K&Co paper, a MM journaling tear out, a Martha felt cupcake sticker, a Hambly acetate journal spot, Bobunny green paper that I cut with my cricut into two different scallops, and I cut out some Scenic Route graph paper that I cut with scallop scissors into a circle. The letters are some Martha flocked brown ones ( small) and Around the Block gem letters- they have spaces for the gems, and came with them so i used pink and lime green. REALLY love this bright card! the background is espresso cardstock. This card I made for the USE IT challenge this week. This card turned out very busy for me- as tried to include all the challenge parts.
Challenge- use scraps, punches or diecuts, two different ribbons, and something you used to use a lot but haven't in a long time. ( my synopsis- check the site for the real wording)
I used all scraps, added some KI rubons to the strip of white going across, as well as the middle of the flowers. I punched out the circles in the middle of the flower as well as the flowers, . I used a scrap of bobunny ribbon, and a bow of DMC floss. I used bobunny love shack paper, double dot cardstock, some Scenic Route lined paper and a teeny bit of orange cardstock. I haven't used book plates in a long time, so I used this pink one here.
I used MM tiny type letters, and some AC thickers glitter letters as well.

thanks for stopping by! have a great night!

*GASP*

coming up for air! I have been so busy this week already! Alizabeth had her All County Chorus last night and it was a wonderful show! The kids really did a great job! Her chorus teacher came and was acknowledged on stage along with the other school teachers, and at the end of the night, he gave each of the 4 girls from our school a single white rose bouquet. Alizabeth was so suprised!
Today I am sharing lots and in a short time- so I'll try to give details- but I won't be as chatty about my projects.
This layout is done with new BoBunny Grease Monkey line, great colors in this line, love that orange!! pretty much the whole layout is from the line, pics of my wonderful hubby!
So lucky- I LOVE Bobunny's new Abbey Road line! so I used it on this St. Pat's day layout, check out those wonderful jumbo letters! I also used my cricut to cut out the clover!

This layout I used Alissa, one of Bobunny's new lines as well! I just love love pink, green and black and white together- such a pretty combo and perfect with my girly girls! This layout was for the recycling post this week- I used a large piece of packaging behind my pics to pop them out, then embossed and punched butterflies with another left over piece. Why buy acetate when you get it free in so many packages? It embosses really well too- so try that! the snowflakes are cut with my cricut as well.
this layout was all about stickers!! I used some Love Shack papers and stickers, and layered the stickers as well as added stickles and gems to the flowers, makes for a super sparkly layout!
that is it for today! hope you have a super Wednesday!
