Sketch 8 Card Patterns

Once again, Michelle gave us a great sketch to work with this week! My card is done using some new Inkadinkado stamps, some really old stamp pads and gorgeous Bobunny dot cardstocks. I also used my cuttlebug birds and swirls folder to emboss the lime green cardstock.
I inked the saying stamp with black, then used an OLD ranger ink pad called ocean to stamp the bflies, I loved the mix of green and blue- I have no idea if that is how it was made, or if it seperated over time, but it's gorgeous! ( I think it's a little hard to see in the pic- and looks more like it didn't stamp well- but it's there!)
from there I used my template to cut the oval, then trimmed with scallop scissors. I added the punch needle holes, ribbon and lime green gems to the bflies that I fussy cut out then layered on to the card.
thanks for dropping by today! have a wonderful sunday!

2Sketches4You and Use It Challenges

I took some time today to make cards based on the sketch blogs I like to visit.

this first one is from the sketch at 2sketches4you- it's been toooo long since I've had a moment to do a sketch from them and I miss doing them! so I wanted to make sure I did this weeks!
I used some Scenic Route papers, white paper embossed with my cuttlebug swiss dots folder, my Martha eyelet border punch, and an OLLLLLDDDDD Basic Grey tag. I added some bobunny dot cardstock, that I punched some Martha bflies with, and mike's pearls along with Amer. Crafts thicker glitter letters ( love these letters!) then they are. topped it off with some crafty ribbon and MM tiny type letters.
This card I made with the Use It! challenge. the challenge was to use
eyelets
something one year or older
polka dots

well I found this pretty Basic Grey tag, I think it's a few years old! and the white WRMK eyelets are also more then 1 year old. I cut the bfly out of my Cricut- using the paper doll cart- angel wings. added lots of faux stitching, and more of the glitter letters from AC. the cardstock is some bobunny and some DCWV, both the teal cardstock and the tag have the polkadots! this was a fun card to make!

have a great day!

Sets sets sets

I have worked all day on card sets that my sister Kelly is going to sell this weekend at a fund raiser. I wanted to send in 10 sets and really busted out cards today. I got 7 sets done today. Most of the sets use K&CO papers, lots of scraps and plain cardstock. Some stamps from Studio G- and various inks. I used my scallop scissors lots and embossed some with my cuttlebug. Sorry for the smallish pics- I'll upload these to my slideshow so you can see them better.

thanks for dropping in today! hope you like my card sets!

have a great night!

yum

My sister Kelly came to visit yesterday, and I made cupcakes for her. I tried a new mix, called Dark Fudge, oh wow! they are rich and moist! then I made some pale pink buttercream icing, and these were wonderful!
I'm sharing my card for CardPatterns today! wow- everyone just does such beautiful work- I really enjoy looking at all the wonderful creations. In my effort to use product, I pulled out this old set of rubons, one of those books I was sent as a freebie for some past publication. I had never used any of the rubons. I was a little disappointed in them, as most of the sticky was gone and they didn't want to come off the paper, but I'm enchanted with the designs. I believe this was a Creative Imaginations set. I used some bobunny cardstock, and ribbon, and my Martha eyelet punch.
thanks for dropping by! have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Spring!

It's here it's here! Spring has arrived! tho it's a bit chilly here.

My fabulous sister had given me a challenge- to use some sweet little bird charms on a couple cards. It was a lot of fun, it's been so long since I've used these charms, part of that everything old is new again idea I think! So here are my two cards I've made, and if you can, take a moment and head over to Kelly's Blog and see what she created as well.
We just spent the day together so it may take her a little while to post hers! But in honor of spring, I'm posting a little blog candy with challenge.

Post in my comments a direct link to a Spring card and I will enter you into a drawing for a small package of blog candy.
I used some Inkadinkado stamps (bird), Hap Bday ( Cornish Heritage Farms) michaels pearls, bobunny ribbon, and Scenic Route paper. The charm is from Blue Moon beadery.
This one uses K&CO paper, Inkadink bird stamp, bobunny ribbon, Cornish Heritage Farms Missing You stamp, martha butterfly punch and Michaels pearls.
here is the candy- some anna griffin papers, a bobunny 6 inch binder, some bobunny chipboard, AG embellies and a few other goodies!

have fun, dont forget to send me a link in my comments! happy spring!

Happy St. Pats!

well- hope the luck of the irish has been with you today! I had planned and planned on making Irish Potatoes for a treat today- but time just has been getting away from me lately!
if you are interested in trying these delightful little treats- here is a recipe

Irish Potatoes
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 stick butter
1 cup shredded coconut
1 lb confectioners' sugar
Ground cinnamon
Mix together, all ingredients but cinnamon. Shape with hand into small football shaped pieces, drop into baggie with cinnamon and shake to coat. This is what makes them potato like. Store covered in fridge, use right away- they taste best fresh!
you can leave out the coconut if you don't like it- but they are pretty unique candies- the cinnamon gives them a bite- then cuts the sweetness of the inside candy.

I wanted to try the Use It challenge this week- Danni's challenge was to use spring colors- check.
A tag- check check check- mine were old white ones I had dyed long ago.
4 flowers- yep - got'em!

my pics are a bit high contrast today! but you can see- it's all old stuff- well- the papers aren't - BUT they are scraps- so I figure that is good too- my motto- use the scraps up!!
I used Bobunny Alissa papers, some AC thickers glitter letters, and a Martha Punch for the bflies. I cut out a journaling spot from the Bobunny cutouts paper- trimmed it with my scallop scissors- am so addicted to that lately.
I want to share our new addition to the family! I miss my buddy Peanut so much that I couldn't not have another little kitty to give love to- so we found this sweet little girl to adopt. We've named her Sugar and she is soo sweet! ! She has attached to Alizabeth and sleeps in her bed at night- so Alizabeth also is just adoring her.

again- more scraps from bobunny alissa line- in my irish mood today so I cut out several of these clovers using my cricut and the paper dolls cart. I added in some MM letters and those glittery AC thickers letters.

same thing for this one- just a different card.

last is this Hi card, with much of the same scraps, I also used the sewing machine to stitch on the flower stems. added in some bobunny brads and prima flowers.

lastly I have this simply candle I wrapped- I have this out in my office- just sitting on a small clear plate, but I wanted to dress it up a little. I used a piece of espresso brown cardstock, I punched holes in with my Martha eyelet punch, then added some Scenic Route paper, and a flower cut from the reverse. Simple and done!

have a fantastic evening!

I used the leprechaun doll accessories for the clover. then I added a bobunny flower, my usual button and twine, and some MM letters for the greeting.

thanks for stopping by! have a great evening!

stampy mcstamperson

I was in a stampy mood yesterday as I made several cards. Everything you see is from the same set of 5 papers- I did add in some scraps of kraft and white cardstock, but I used pretty much every bit of those 5 papers. The collection is from SEI- it's called Such a Girl. just some of my old stash I wanted to play with. I used several sets of stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms, designed by Kim Hughes, the images are just so darling! I made several baby cards as you will see.
Most of the cards I used watercolor pencils to fill in. The ewe I made with some puffy fabric paint. I'm not going to comment on each card, as they are basically all made with the same items. I did add in some glittery K&CO stickers, some AC thickers letters, and MM letters.

thanks for coming by today! have a wonderful tuesday!

what a success!!

happy monday to ya! wow the bobunny blog hop was a big success! so many of you took time to comment and compliment me! I want to thank you all from the bottom of my lil bunny heart! LOL! My blog candy giveaway is still going until Friday- so don't forget to leave me a comment to be entered into my random drawing!
today I am so happy to be sharing Sketch 5 from Cardpatterns. What I love about this sketch site is that the sketches are so different- Michelle does an amazing job! I used some bobunny cardstock, some KI paper, Scenic Route graph paper, and an Around the block sticker.
I added a handcut cloud that I edged with stickles, and MM and Martha letters.

I'm also going to share the Flair items I made last week for their Summer Daze collection.
this layout uses flower shower paper, I cut the flowers out of the paper and bent them for dimension. I also used their cardstock stickers, a vellum quote sticker and a bit of Summer Daze paper for the title.

this card uses their gorgeous Flutterby paper. I cut out two of the butterflies and layered them, then added them to a circle, then matted it and cut around with scallop scissors. I bent the edges of the scallops up, just for a little touch of dimension.
I also used a strip of Block party paper, then added a summer smiles cardstock sticker that I popdotted for dimension.
Summer Sun card, I used both Block party and Summer Daze papers on this card, cutting out the words from the paper as well. The round sticker is a cardstock sticker, and I used a bit of Flair paper ribbon on this as well. Hard to see, but I added stickles around the edges of the round circles to give this sparkle.
Last but not least- this layout uses block party paper. I cut a large circle out then scalloped the edges with my fiskars cloud scissors. I added glittered Amer. Crafts Thicker letters, some MM letters and again, Flair cardstock stickers.
the pics- oh do I love these pics! I highly recommend the Fugi or Kodak underwater cameras from Walmart- they took some great pics of the girls swimming under the water.
that's it for today! I have finally gotten down to the last little bit of spring cleaning left in my office- and I am in the mood to create today! have a wonderful monday!

March already!

seems like February just flew by doesn't it? it's March already? before you know it- it'll be Summer! We got a big snowstorm yesterday and the blowing wind has made huge snowdrifts- I think we got about 10-12 inches? some places the grass is showing- yet others- it's about 3 ft deep! we played and made a snowman before everyone got soaked through- our snowman wasn't more then a big pile of snow- it was too dry to make him into a decent one this time.
today I have only a small card to share - this is done with the Cardpatterns sketch this week- we were given some Sweet n Sassy Stamps to work with- I took mine and printed it on some cardstock, then colored with water color pencils, then cut it out. I used some more of those beautiful Anna Griffin papers on it- added in a offray ribbon, prima flowers, michaels pearls, and some MM letters.

have a terrific monday!
