Happy Friday to you

hope this week has been good for you- it's been a very fast one for me. of course I'm eyeball deep in cleaning up my scrap supplies- trying to get together a nice blog candy package- I have only 500 more hits to hit 10,000 hits so I want to give away a sweet prize to help me celebrate!

I am sharing lots of great Anna Griffin stuff today! I got lots of the new product she debuted at CHA- and let me tell you- it's gorgeous!! new printed acetates, gorgeous stamps and inks, flocked papers with BUTTERFLIES!! ohhh my !!!
this fun card is made with that leopard print stamp- and the fabulous stamp in coordinating colors. the black paper is acetate- can't wait to come up with a cool use for this! I cut the bfly out of some paper that is just covered in them- so pretty and tons to do things with! I added a gem, and my button with twine. isn't that something you can see being given to a friend! they would love it.
next is a nice cmasy card made with rubons and paper, the spirit saying, and the tree are both rubons- I added small prima gems to the tree. And I have to sneak in my favorite ribbon- bobunny! I pierced the paper with a big needle around the mat.
this card i made with a Martha stamp- colored it with some watercolor pencils. then I cut the whole thing out. I used some scrap papers- by Scenic Route and SEI , my devine impressions folder and added some buttons and twine. the rubon is MM.
another cmasy one- this one is all Anna Griffin- flocked stickers, rubon, paper and ribbon. I pop dotted the ornament after I cut it out for dimension.
this is another new collection from Anna- beautiful flowers aren't they! I cut the flower from the paper, added in a scalloped oval I traced from a template then cut with scallop scissors. Added some bobunny ribbon, and a decorator brad from Anna. those letters are also Anna Griffin.
Used some of the same papers on this card, adding in these blue flowers I cut out, then punched some more with a thumb punch, folded them in half then added them in under the leaves and petals. Those brads are Anna G, and I also used a journaling spot from her collection. the celebrate is an old MM rubon.

last but not least for today- I made this cute frame for Alizabeth, she asked me to make her some frames for her room, of course- I put my own kids in it- so no troubles with other kids pics, but it's easily changed out for her. More Anna Griffin papers, some more butterflies from the flocked sheet, I added in a chipboard piece that I markered with a big black sharpie, then added on some Heidi Swapp letters in green, that I used Stickles in blue on.
Added some buttons and brads to match, then I added a blue ribbon around the whole frame.

thanks for dropping in today! hope you have a wonderful weekend!

monday monday

oh it's been forever since I've posted hasn't it? lots of stuff going on here - but mostly just busy with a project for my daughter's room so I didn't have much time for scrapping last week.
I do get to share some projects today tho.
this card is using CardPatterns new sketch. I used bobunny papers- cut the two side hearts out of that. Then I used these sweet little felt cupcakes from Martha Stewart- had them a while and couldn't come up with a good use for them! I also have used my swiss dots folder, some sweet little heart gems. Pearls from Michaels that I colored with a red sharpie, my Martha border punch, bobunny ribbon and those wonderful black MM letters I love.
I dont often show pics of our house here- but if you can prepare yourself for pink overload- I wanted to show Annalise's room. I have been working on these flowers behind her bed. Hubby cut them out for me, then I painted them, layered in some glitter and spray glossed them. Most importantly is that Annalise thinks her room is AWESOME! and hangs out in there all the time. Even the older girls like to hang out with her in there!
next is a quick card i made for a valentine post for bobunny. I used a Martha punch for the scalloped border, cut out the hearts and popdotted them, added the double dot ribbon, buttons and twine, flower and double dot chip letters.

this layout is for the Flirty line post on bobunny's blog. this is my sweet hubby - I've used all bobunny stuff, and stickers, then added in the title cut with Plantin cart on my cricut. lots of foam tape on this one. I hand cut the swirl edges then distressed them for dimension.
lots of bobunny on this layout as well. using the sweetie pie line- and lots of stickers and shapes.
I also added in some dimensional dots of puff paint for the swirls. just a silly layout of my oldest.
thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful day!

tuesday

hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I was typing that today was monday- but yeah- I was thrown off by the holiday so we had a long weekend.
I'm just sharing the items I made for my family this weekend. some super quick and simple cards, and gifts. we kept Valentines small this year.
this is the card I made my hubby- like crazy. just found this scrap piece of paper from WRMK and embossed some devine swirls on some kraft cardstock, punched a heart from some swiss dots paper and added my button and handwriting.
this was Alizabeth's card, the papers are SEI and bobunny, I cut some scallops into the bobunny, added a punched heart and some MAMBI gem letters, ontop of swiss dots embossed paper.

this card was for Annalise, I used some bobunny paper with the SEI stripe, added on the sage cardstock swiss dots embossed paper, and some bobunny sticker letters. I punched the heart from a scrap and added on this MAMBI gem frame.
instead of wasting paper ( think green) by wrapping up some chocolate heart boxes, I added tags over top of the sticker- which you can kinda see here. I used some embossed paper and Bobunny stickers and letters.

I put DH's gift in this bag a black bag I added some embossed paper, some K&Co stickers and some bobunny letters.

lastly I am sharing the ginormous chocolate chip cookie I made. I made my regular recipe of chocolate chip cookies- I've shared it here before. then spread it way out on an airbake cookie sheet, ontop of a piece of parchment paper- you do this and you will never have brown cookie bottoms again ( unless you burn them! LOL)
then I decorated it with my decorator bags, the cookie was lumpy and writing words on it was pretty hard- next time I'll smooth it out better. but the cookie was delicious and we sent some home with Alizabeth's friend- as it was wayyy too big for all of us to eat. I liked that it stayed soft and didn't get crunchy and hard.
looks professional doesn't it- I swear it's homemade!
have a wonderful week!

I also embossed my circle with the devine swirls folder.
have a wonderful weekend!

it is the dawning of the age of aquarius

good morning- wait- what? um- yeah- today is my bday - and i'm an aquarian - is that right- aquariun?
aquarium?
aqua?
agua?
butter?
LOL! I'm turning 29 today- *cough cough* again- for the um- 6th time now.
Actually I told DH when he wished me Happy Bday that I'm turning 28 today- then each year I can get younger!
no cards to share- I'm going to veg out and read a book today- but I made these nice cupcakes last night for my hubby- who adores coconut/dark chocolate things.
http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/02/sweets-for-your-sweetie-yellow-cupcakes-with-sticky-chocolate-icing/
these are rich coconut chocolate cupcakes.
it's all the pioneer woman's fault- she made this icing- and it looked so yummy. but I wanted to try it with my coconut supreme cake mix recipe. and yeah- these are sooo delish! really good flavors.
I won't put the recipe here- since it's on the PW site- but- I did forget to add in the butter- so maybe yours will stay shiney! LOL! they taste wonderful without it too!
and I used a Betty Crocker cake mix- cause I'm all about keeping it simple with quick stuff like this.

let me know if you try them- what you think!
oh and other super news- Alizabeth made All County Chorus yesterday- she and 4 other girls from her school will be participating in the Chorus. she's completely thrilled about it, as are we.

have a great day!

Just a few things to share today

thank you everyone for the well wishes- I am feeling better and have passed my stone- they are so painful tho! we are having some gorgeous springlike weather- it's up to 60 today- I am just so impatient for spring to get here- I wish winter just didn't happen here. tho with the weather- I'm starting to feel like I need to do some spring cleaning as well.
I also wanted everyone to know- I've made some deep discounts in my etsy store- if there is anything you'd liked- go check it out cause they are gonna go soon.
I am sharing this card made with the 2sketches4 you sketch- I love this little rainbow sticker from K&CO- and finally got to use it.
I added in some punched butterflies- they and the circle are embossed with my cuttlebug. I added in some DCWV cardstock and a journaling tear out from MM. I also added in some gems from around the block on my bfly. the rubon is from My Mind's Eye.

I made this sweet little card using my devine and swiss dots folders. some Bobunny cardstock, and these sweet little stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms. I double stamped the ewe and cut it out. then I added two tiny little pearls and a bow with button. go see their stamps. http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com/

This card is made for the Caardvarks challenge- to use a heart on a card. First I used some SEI paper for the striped paper, then I added on some clear acrylic that I embossed with swiss dots. then I added these two hearts cut with my cricut. The flower is from Sandylion and the ribbon is from my stash! the sticker greeting is Mrs. Grossmans!

Last to share with you today are some frames I made up for my living room. I spray painted two frames that had the stands on them, both these frames happened to be from the dollar store- but were not great looking- which I think they are now with a simple coat of black gloss spray paint! Then I added in sage cardstock, some kraft and white cardstocks. I embossed some of the papers then stamped my images with versamark ink. Then I cut them out and glued them to the centers of the paper. The larger image I used some pearls on the berries. Now I have two really pretty and simple pieces of artwork. the stamps I used were from Inkadinkado and Martha Stewart.
Thanks for dropping by today! have a wonderful day!

I used some Scenic Route, some bobunny, a journal tear out from MM, a chip piece I embossed with devine swirls, a stamp greeting from Cornish Heritage Farms, and the bfly stickers is from Sticko. The ribbon is bobunny.
stop by the blog and see the other creations by the new DT- they are fabulous!

This card is made with Flair patterned papers, I cut the bird out of one of them. the cardstock is bobunny, as is the dot ribbon. I added the greeting with a Cornish Heritage Farms stamp. you can see I used the devine swirls embossing folder on the white cardstock.
this card i used devine swirls embossing folder, a SEI tag from stash, some little glittery K&CO stickers, bobonny cardstock, and Kaisercraft paper. I handwrote the greeting and added my bow.

I used my swiss dots embossing folder, added some little K&CO stickers- yeah- I'm working that single sticker sheet- think I've gotten at least 5 cards so far from it. then I added some bobunny ribbon, and MM letters.

this card uses Anna Griffin papers and flower, with a puter printed greeting. the twill is also Anna G. and some MM brads.

I made this card using flair papers, a wimpole street knit gbread man, and I embossed some acrylic packaging- cute and GREEN!, with the devine swirls folder. then I added a bow and my MM letters after I machine sewed it.

next I have this vday card, using swiss dots embossing folder, some MM journal tear outs, devine swirls, a Hambly acrylic journal spot, and a K&CO sticker. I used plantin cart. to cut out the love in italics, and some pretty bobunny ribbon.
I made this card with flair papers and stickers, I used photo corners to make the bflies, with some micheals pearls in the center. added in a touch of bobunny cardstock and ribbon.
this card uses bobunny cardstock, some cardstock embossed with swiss dots ( black) and devine swirls ( white) . then I added in this K&CO bfly, and MM letters.

I'm still making a few cmas cards, this is super quick and easy with some flair paper and stickers, and a bit of bobunny ribbon.

next is my submission for the dt of cardpatterns- i used the card sketch for this. I used my spots and dots embossing folder, some KI papers, my own design cupcake- with a K&CO sticker cherry, and MM letters. I added on a MAMBI gem heart, and used some Bobunny ribbon.
next is a layout I did for the bobunny blog, on looking back on the past year. I used a pic for each month then listed some of the highlights of the year.

I used all bobunny product on this. cept for the flower- which is Kaisercraft. check out the blog to see what some of the other girls did!

this card is made with Flair papers, I cut the angel out of patterned paper, added in the bow from WRMK, and the flair sticker.another bobunny layout, done for the blog, the other girls rocked out some other great layouts. I made mine a big scalloped circle, using all bobunny products, cept for the MM block letters, the MAMBI gem heart, and the Plantin cut letters.
this cute card uses Flair papers, a MM journal tear out, Hambly clear journal spot and flair stickers. I used my new Martha bfly punch and added Micheals pearls to them.
next is this bright fun card, these Sticko stickers are puffy - so fun! I used some stash letters- from Amer. Trad. Designs, my swiss dots embossing folder, a hambly clear journal spot, and some MM brads.
in the mood for another holiday card- well- here is one more! this uses Flair paper and stickers, with some bobunny ribbon.

finally! we're almost at the end- did you stick with me? ok- here we are- Bobunny asked us to create some quick vday gifts. I made these with somewindowed treat boxes I bought at the craft store, lots of bobunny ribbon, stickers and paper, and a little MM letters. I filled these with lots of Dove chocolate- milk, dark and mmmmm raspberry creme filled- and I'm not sure who's gonna get them- maybe my girls and hubby- or maybe I'll keep them all to myself! HAHAHA!!

have a wonderful! day!
