Friday projects

Been busy with so much this week, but I did make a few things to share.

this coffee sign is made with Flair papers, the sign I bought from Joannes. I popdotted the coffee and added chipboard steam. Also used Heidi Swapp and Colorbok chipboard letters in brown. I think it turned out so cute. Perfect for a country kitchen.
I'm going to try to remember to do shaped cards more, this circle one was really fun to make. These are Splendor collection papers from Bobunny.

The chipboard flower i painted and glittered, added in a button with twine bow.
letters are older bobunny, but I am really digging them, so I pulled out some from the STASH and used them. I made the leaves to match as well.
and yeah- these were scraps leftover from something else- what a great little card for just making it with scraps.
This sweet little holiday card is made with Bobunny Felicity papers, again- leftover from something i can't post just yet. I glittered and painted the tree , then added this sweet Bobunny ribbon and a Jesse James heart button. Add in some stitching and deco scissors- rubon a Bobunny holiday sentiment, that's it- a super cute and way easy card for the holidays.

have a great weekend!

Big Upload Day

I have soo much to share today!
First- I had to share this GORGEOUS sunset from last night- it was absolutely amazing- look at the colors! As I was taking these- the geese were coming in for a landing from the opposite side- it was so awesome to see all this natural beauty surrounding me.
Every night we watch the sun go down from the sunroom, and I think this one is the one I will remember as the most stunning sunset so far.

Next I get to share this layout with you, as seen on Bobunny's Blog. We did a Double Dot Cardstock challenge, love these cardstocks- the dots rock and the colors of them are just so pretty.
Add in some stunning Beau Jardin and Beautiful Life papers, and the colors just pop.
I handcut the leaves from the paper, then bent them to pop them off the page a bit. I also added in some glitzy rhinestones, and flocked stickers from Cloud 9. The title is backed with some of the cutouts from the Beautiful life collection.
and of course the star- my sweetie patootie- isn't she just too cute!

Next is my card for Flair- Get Well-
using paper from Hit The Beach. I cut out the little suns and made them into flowers. the stickers are SEI. Loving my sewing machine right now. I guess I'm on a sewing kick. it's so nice having it right out and easy to use. love blues and greens with oranges, so bright and fun!

Then I have this cute cute card using Flair's What's Cooking - coffee paper- I loved this cute little saying, and it fits the paper so well!
I added in a touch of Reminisce dotted paper- you know- from the old scraps bin.
and I sewed the card to within an inch of it's life! bahaha!
then i cut out another coffee cup, popdotted it and added a bit of twine bow. added in a chipboard bracket I painted from basic grey, and more of those wonderful flocked sticker letters from cloud 9.

This sweet card stars more of Flair's What's Cooking collection- the Farmers Market Labels are soo neat as large accents, of course I had to shabby my edges and distress them. I added in a oblong funky flower that I'd painted and glittered, with an old gap button and a twine bow. Then I colored some old Basic Grey letters for the greeting, and the last bit of that Reminisce dotted paper.

This adorable little set uses all Anna Griffin stuff. Some of the new Alix papers and embellies.
I would love to give this box with a handmade bracelet- something with shells I think would be perfect! For the card, I added in one of my homemade labels ( some easy fixing with MS WORD) and just added a Flair clear sticker for the saying. Anna Griffin ribbon and chipboard button plus a frame I cut and glittered to make a bracket.
The box stars some of Anna's wonderful 3d stickers, a handcut bit of coral from her paper, a couple of the great matching ribbons, a diecut journal block and one of these awesome stitched words.

Isn't this sweet! I am giving this to a friend who has a vacation house and loves beachy decor.
Of course- the whole time I was making this - I was saying Es-CAP-eh like Dory from Finding Nemo! ahh- I'll never see that word as the same! LOL!
More of Anna's ribbons, 3d stickers and chipboard. I added in a touch of twine- and the canvas is just made with a couple hooks to hold the ribbon hanger. Another stitched word, along with one of those Flair Clear quotes.

That is it for today- my hands are tired from just typing it all!
peace!

Laura's Sketch #7

This is Laura's Sketch #7 from over at
2 sketches 4 you blog.
I'm really enjoying the challenge of doing some cards from sketches.
I pulled out my old scraps bin and worked with some Reminisce Enchanted Autumn scraps, and a little Bobunny I had more left from last weeks card.
can't accuse me of wasting my papers! LOL!
those papers from Reminisce are awesome- if you look closely you can kind of see the halographic shimmer in the lines.
and you know I love some bling, or glitz, or extra shine on my projects!

aren't those owls just darling!! those are some stickers from the collection- I popdotted momma owl there up a bit, and with that punched circle shape, and the lime brads- it's almost a night scene, looking like a full moon with some fireflies.
I used some teeny tiny Fontwerks rubon letters with some Basic grey numbers, added in a hand drawn branch with some Rem. leaf stickers, a simple deco scissors scallop border and that's my whole card.
thanks for dropping in and if you want, give me a hoot in my comments below! ( *big cheesy grin*)

have a great night-

BACK TO SCHOOL!!

ok- first - sorry for the poor pic of the front- sometimes I'm in too much of a rush to photograph things and mail them off- this was done for Reminisce for CHA summer.
I love all these little 3d and flat stickers they made for school, some of the flat stickers have a shine to them- almost like they have a glaze- it's really neat.
I also used some Bobunny letters, a star punch from Nankong, and some craft supply buttons and darice twine. The cube is from KaiserCraft.
Saved this for today- since my girls are going back to school in the morning. Ahh- it's bittersweet- love love love summer, and all the things we get to do. but I can't wait for some well deserved ME time. I have a list of house projects longer then my arm that I have neglected all summer in order to spend as much time with the girls as could be. Fall weather will soon be here and the pool will be drained and I will have the time to get these done.
I have a new painting I finished over the weekend- boy it was weird getting back to that- it's been years since I've painted on canvas- but it felt great- and everyone who's seen the painting has told me how much they love it. It was made as a decorative painting- not a whole artistic expression that must be interpreted- just a little pretty pretty thing.
we had a End of Summer BLAST Party for the girls this weekend- both girls had some friends over for an all day pool party, we had pizza and cupcakes for dinner, then did a bonfire and roasted marshmallows. sleep didn't happen til wee hours for the older girls who stayed for a sleepover. I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast and got everyone back home to mom and dad by noon. I know everyone had a great time. Wish we could do it more often!
Happy Back to School everyone!

2Sketches4You

This is Kazan's Sketch 7 over at 2Sketches4You. I decided to branch out and take on some sketches. this is my take on her sketch. Thanks for coming to check it out!
I used bobunny calendar paper- october and november are the months. Some Bazzill paper strips. DCWV cardstock, Bazzill and Imagination Project stars, some Darice twine and buttons and a Making Memories rubon.
Blue and orange are one of my favorite color combos! you'll be seeing these papers again as I continue in my quest to use my scraps stash. I did end up making some awesome layered flowers last night while playing- still not decided on what to use them on yet.
thanks for looking!

new schtuff

I worked on some stuff today- no specific reasons- just was using more scraps- yeah- geesh- is that all I talk about .

really tho- I used some serious scraps here-

the card and gift set is made with some cute calendar Bobunny paper ( that's the word valentine paper) and some left over dots paper.

a few tiny scraps- on the heart ( dot cardstock) and on the big heart ( vintage carnival paper- with stickles glitter)

I also added in some- bazzill paper strips, some bobunny ribbon and rubons, the LOVE is a One Heart One Mind rubon, and some Bazzill chipboard hearts.

the giant frame is Colorbok - painted it white and covered that in stickles as well.

sounds like a lot of work- but I did a big ol' session last night with my paint and stickles on some raw chipboard pieces- now I can just grab them as I want them.

Next are some more papers from Bobunny's Splendid line- again- left overs from another project. And I love this line so much- hate to waste any of it.

the grade A card is done with a cut out from the collection, I just rumpled the edges.

Added some letters from Amer. Crafts, Making Memories and K&Co.

some more Bobunny ribbon and a cute flower from my stash.

the THANKS card is made with some of the same papers from the line,
adding in a folded bobunny flower, and a cut out from the sheet.
button/rubon is Making memories. letters are Amer. Crafts.
and I added in another stickle glitter glue bracket from my stash I made - which is another thing by Bobunny!
thanks for checking by!

multiple use

I always advocate using those scraps - after doing a layout, or project, don't just save those things and never use them.
I used to do that- then it would become a huge amount of papers overflowing my drawer, I'd give them to the kids' school or just to the girls to play around with.
THEN - I got into making cards. Always thought I stunk at making them, that my cards always seemed so unoriginal. But now- I like what I make. And I always have a quick grab card for whatever need arises.

All four of these projects were made with scraps of the same papers- some were large scraps- but that is just better - since it would have just sat there and gotten wrinkled up in my scraps drawer anyway.
The cardstock in Summer- summertime- is Prism. the paper and stickers are Bobunny. I used an exacto to cut the larger letters out- then cut the banner piece out from another sticker as well. The sun was already attached- all I did was cut it out and accent it with a clear yellow button and twine.

Summer Treats- again- cut out elements from stickers- make things your own- just b/c a company makes something a certain way- if it doesn't fit your style and you can alter it to suit you- go for it. Cut out the melons from more stickers, again, accenting with a button.

Home Sweet Home- same papers, I added a rubon to some patterned paper, added stickles to a chipboard bracket- and folded a flower in half.
gee- look- a button- are you suprised?
BAHAHA!
ribbon/rubon/bracket are Bobunny as well- flower is Making Memories.

Last, but not least, is my favorite from what I made today. A gift set. Card and small package.
A pillow box from Daisy D's I covered over.

I cut out and rolled some of the flowers for dimension , threw in some buttons, stickle glittered a Scenic Route chipboard birdie and added some Bobunny Rubons.

Reminisce Enchanted Line

New Enchanted Autumn line- these are halo-graphic papers- soo KEWL!
I think these are great colors too- and with those cute owls- it's a really winning collection!
the first thing is a halloween memorabilia box- perhaps to keepsake that first costume in? or a really cute little treat bag, whatever you might keep from that first halloween.
btw- I ADORE halloween- dressing up is fun, but finding neat costumes or unique ideas is one of the favorite things I love halloween for.
anyway- the box is made using the papers to wrap in- then one of the neat JUMBO glittered stickers. I added in a few buttons, some letters from Creative Imaginations, Amer. Crafts Thickers, and some black Reminisce letters.

This layout is made with the same collection. I cut out some of those cute owls on the side of the paper, added in some buttons, and popdotted some of the elements- added their BOO and Sweet stickers- then just two Basic Grey stickers for My.

NEW Reminisce

So i'm finally uploading some of my projects from CHA for Reminisce.
They have the coolest stuff!
really- the glitter papers- the halographic papers, the neatest stickers.
the snow layout is done using the Frosted line- I love the colors- greens and blues are some of my favs together!
this is a small 8x8 layout, and I've just layered and layered the papers. The sticker under the title is glittery- but since I covered it up- I added some Stickles glitter glue to the letters as well.

next is the Scare Tactics line- I used some of it on this 8x10 layout for some cute pics of lil' a digging her pumpkin out. love the shabby papers and the kewl pumpkin stickers. Makes me excited for halloween. Added the moon sticker to the title- then just popped on some Creative Imaginations letters I colored with black marker.
Have a great night!

newer layouts

afew layouts I've worked on recently.
this one using Bobunny My darling line.

lots of lovely circles-
I added some bling to the flowers and pic.
A with her buddy.
Cut out the title from a sticker. added in a cute cut out just peeking out from the photo.

next one is a new flair layout
made with the super cute christmas line- Merry Little Christmas
i hand cut the scalloped paper, plus I also cut out the ornaments paper partially.

title is made with Amer. Crafts stickers, and some Heidi Swapp chipboard letters- I sanded them after I colored them to match. I love that look- this one ended up being my total favorite of the layouts I did this time for Flair.

hey- feel free to leave a comment here- just so I know someone is out there!
maybe once I get the kiddos back to school I can do a monthly drawing thing for a freebie kit- anyone interested?

Happy Friday!

I thought I'd share the cards I made today.

Of course I like to use my scraps for stuff- so
this bobunny card is made with scraps from a project that I can't share just yet.

Papers and cutouts are Bobunny Beau Jardin and Beautiful Life.

just love the colors in this line- so fall like and soo soo pretty!

Next card- Boo- is made with some scraps and new Flair Halloween papers- Spellbound. I added in some Heidi Swapp letters I glittered with stickles, some bobunny dot cardstock and a star cut from a coluzzle.

Second- Spooky Scary. More Flair Spellbound
papers and stickers.
Chipboard is Making Memories and Colorbok- I put the dots on the Colorbok chip.

Last but not least- the Trick or Treat Fun
again- some more of the Flair Spellbound collection- crumpled and sanded. I added in some scrap Bobunny red paper. The chip circle is Bazzill.
buttons are craft supply.

so that's it- well- what I made today- after cleaning the house, running to the grocery store, sewing a pillow with A, and playing a game with Annalise.
I'm beat, and I'm sure hubby will want to finish getting that mountain of dirt moved this weekend.
course- maybe I can have a nice bonfire to end the day- topped off with some burnt marshmallows- cause that's the ONLY way to eat them!
maybe we'll see some fireworks- since as I am typing this- I can see a set of them going up over the treeline towards PA.
have a great night!
kris

princessessessesssssss's

yeah- we got em' - got lots of them here-
dress up clothes, barbies, toys, polly pockets, webkinz, and of course birthday ones.

but this layout is about this adorable crown that Annalise brought home from Kindy.
apparently - she likes a bit of bling
who can blame her- so does her momma.

so cute with that off center gluing job- she had to put a little attitude in it- either on purpose or by accident- all are happy accidents in art- ( remember Bob Ross- loved that chill 'tude- it was like valium in a tv show)

anywho- yep- it's all bobunny as seen on the blog- cept the My Minds Eye chip crown and the heart ( Making Memories) and the letters- Basic Grey.

Bobunny highlight

this aired yesterday for a color spotlight on Bobunny's blog. Red was the color of choice.
I wanted to do something that was bright and went well with the red- so I chose red, yellow and tan to go on the layout. there is also a small amount of sage green, in the flowers and the title.
and you know the papers and stuff are pretty much all bobunny- right- did I even need to say that? ok- the letters are Heidi Grace- but that's it.
the heart hanging was a cute little thing I found at the dollar store- some of the glitter had come off around the edge at the bottom- but I was planning on doing something with it anyway- so it wasn't a big deal.
of course I had to use my scraps to make it- i'm frugal that way- love using scraps to make cards or some small altered thing- at least I know that
the papers coordinate-

it was super simple to do- all I did was glue the flowers around the edges, after I had punched them out- kind of folded each petal to make them more dimensional. then I added buttons to the middle of each flower. the final middle flower got a run through with twine and a small bow with long ends.

it was such a fast project!
and super cute for Vday!

Wed's post

More of the great new Flair Christmas line.
those little reindeer are so cute!

took these pics at Hershey Park Christmas Candylane- was so excited to see the reindeer- how often do you get to see those!

Bobunny arrow and Basic Grey letters.
of course I had to color them to match- but that's how I do.. LOL

second layout is again- Flair Christmas
with some of their new ornament stickers

I liked the blues for the background- really makes the girls shirts pop off the page.

basic grey letters and some creative imaginations letters as well- that I sanded -just to break up the color.

have a great day!

sharing sharing today

feeling in a sharing mood today- esp since I haven't had much to share lately.

of course I love to use my scraps- and here are two things I made with the scraps i had from the card I made in an earlier post.

tag and card are pretty much all bobunny stuff.

flower is made with flower punch- look at the two looks I got with it- just by layering differently.

today is actually warm- thinking we might get in the pool in a bit.

New Flair Christmas Papers

I can finally share these with you, these two cards are made with new Flair Christmas papers.
top card is made with Festive Forrest and bottom card is made with Christmas sweater.

what makes this line unique is the colors, really unusual - but great combos- the blues and purples offer a way to make your holiday themed pages just a little bit different this year.

over the next couple of days I'll share some more of the stuff I got to do with these fabulous papers

all papers, flower, brad are bobunny
letters are Cloud 9 and Basic Grey.
this weather is weird- never seen an August that has been this cool. not much pool play with it- the pool is just too cold. well- at least I'm getting more stuff done inside.

shew!

This was a working weekend! Chris and I worked outside ALL DAY Saturday- we moved dirt, filled flower beds and stacked all the tree branches over by the fence for fall burning. We played in the pool, had a bonfire, roasted marshmellows, got sunburned noses, watched the girls dance and had a great great day.
Sunday- I had some work to do, I made A's friend Briana a necklace, and cleaned the house up from the day of outside working.
I'm still working on getting my scrapbook stuff purged and this week am working on my cardstock stacks.
Chris is encouraging me to buy a Cricut machine- and I'm going to work on getting the money together to buy one. Certainly will save me time and money with being able to cut out my alphabets.

it's been a while since I've shared a creative craft, so here is a newish card with Anna Griffin products, the letters are DCWV.

where did the week go?

the week has gone by so quickly- I didn't get a chance to post.
I've been working on lots of 'top secret' stuff - but can't share here yet. Fun stuff tho!
what I can share are pics of my precious girl- took some pics today out in the front yard.
she's soo tan, and look at that blonde hair!
hopefully next week I'll have some projects I can share with you!
have a great weekend!

Sunday

today was one of those rare perfect weather days. it was about 80 with a nice breeze and the sky was soo blue. the clouds were so far off in the distance that they were on the horizon, like someone had pushed them away from us, so that we could just enjoy the sun.

finally we have filled in the gigantic hole in the back yard. It had been a sinkhole from the former owners filling in the pool, and the dirt settling had made a huge pit in the yard, we filled it and then ended up tilling the whole thing to try to even the ground out. when tilled it still left an indented area, so we took leftover fill dirt from the pool and leveled it out again. Am so proud of the yard, when we bought this house- there was nothing but weeds in the yard, no grass there. There is a beautiful patch of grass now- and when we are finally done the yard will look so much nicer. We still have some regrading to do- there is two more sides that need to be shaved down and graded with a more gentle line so that the yard will look better.

the girls helped us work some, and I had to take some pics today.
wanted to show A's cute new shaggy do- I cut it about 2 weeks ago and it's finally relaxing enough that she likes it. I think it's great- tho I do think it makes her look much older. check out those highlights- playing in the pool is great for those.
sleep well

saturday

Fridays are usually spent running errands and cleaning. I usually dont' get a lot of work done. I did want to make one more necklace- so I worked this little sweet thing up. I used another one of those wrapped wire beads as a charm, adding a smaller circle of the irridescent beads in the center.
Some cutwork silver beads and small glass beads added on the necklace.
It's cute - but probably not in my top favorites- perhaps it looks too sophisticated for a tween to wear?
whatev- cause A will be the most blinged out chickie at school this year! LOL!
I need more supplies to do some more necklaces- don't have near enough choices of beads.
til tomorrow!

Friday

I've gotten into making jewelry this week- bought some better supplies and am having fun making simple beaded necklaces. I don't really wear jewelry much, but it's fun way for Alizabeth to have input on her jewelry. Added benefits of being much cheaper then buying every necklace she sees.
Sorry for the tiny pics- but this is just meant to show the necklaces, not the detailing.

I love that i am able to incorporate some old stuff in with these. I had bought some pretty glass beads a few years ago, but they had just sat in a box. Even some things I had bought for scrapping are being incorporated. Finally a way to use up some of those charms I bought.

I got that cool wire wrapped charm this week- actually it's meant to be a bead, but it's way better as a charm, plus I have 5 more to make cool necklaces with. Want to find a way to change it up a little- maybe wrap some colored wire around it as well. I could see a pretty gem in the middle too.

the pink shell necklace was sooo simple. just added some jump rings to some chain, added a lobster claw clasp, that's it.
A loves it cause it clinks a bit as she moves- kids- anything that can make noise!

Sorry for the sideways pic- but tilt your head and you can see it! LOL! cute malachite beading with silver beads, darling little open star with rhinestones and both girls love this necklace. I love that the color will match anything they wear. Probably gonna have to make something else with those beads b/c of it's versatility.

I didn't get to take a pic of this on the table, A loved it so much- she had to put it on. Silver bfly with some aqua beads that we had, a small beaded necklace and a simple chain are the other layers. A's favorite blue color, so I guess mostly she'll be wearing this.
did I mention- the girls aren't allowed to lay claim on any one necklace- this way they can share them and hopefully we won't have any days that they both have to wear the same necklace.

Thanks for looking at my schtuff!
